Hana Shaner runs a carpet company that has been in her family for generations. Her assistant Grace Urich disappeared 2 months ago and Hana is determined to track her down. She starts this quest by staying in Grace's apartment, which really doesn't make much sense. The beginning of the book is full of timeline inconsistencies, cars suddenly appear in places other than where they were parked and people can't seem to keep track of days. This part really needed a good editor. The ending is totally out there. There is no ghost story line though the book blurb could lead one to that conclusion. I've owned this book for a long time and am glad to have finished it and it kept me mildly entertained while being sick.

A fast-pace,gripping suspense/mystery-my kind of story! I really enjoyed reading this story, though it was written in the 80's,this story's plot and the outcome revealing who done it-relates to some not too long ago events.Anyway, this was a great read, and hope to find more books written by this author!
