Featuring profiles of boy heroes around the world and throughout history including Elvis, Pablo Picasso, Tiger Woods, and King Tut, as well as lesser known heroes, an entertaining and fascinating guide shows boys how they can make an impact on today's world. Original.

This group of biographical stories is assigned reading for the literature groups we have coming up in class next week. I read through each one, so I would know the information presented in each one. A short 2-3 page biography is given on men who made a difference or contributed to something in history when they were young. Examples are: Louis Braille, Sammy Sosa, Albert Einstein, and Elvis Presley. Each one was short and to the point and I think they are good pieces to keep the students interested.
130 pages with 29 brief biographies of famous people when they were boys. All but seven are from the mid-20th century through 21 century and the choice runs heavily to sports and entertainment figures. The end of most chapters contain little profiles of 10-12 year-old boys entitled "How Would You Rock The World?" There are chapters on five boys "Who are rocking the world right now". Includes illustrations which depict the subjects in black and white cariaciture style line drawings.
Excellent collection of biographies of boys and teenagers who did great things. As with the rest of these books, there is probably too much focus on the arts and sports. Whimsical illustrations by Lar de Souza of Looking for Group fame.
