This series has always been a little bit on the simplistic side, but it is written for children and usually there is enough action and excitement that I don't mind that much and can generally enjoy it. This book just doesn't seem to fit in well with the others though. The other books, while short, still felt like self-contained adventures but this one just feels like a prequel to something else.
