Germany

Rate this book
Although it was adversely affected by both world wars and the cold war, which divided the nation into a democratic and communist state, Germany has persevered to become Europe's largest economy and second most populous nation. This book offers an overview of this fascinating nation. It acts as a guide to the culture of Germany.

A brief summary of Germany, clearly written for an American reader (many comparisons to the U.S within) As it was written in the early 2000s it is now lacking the most current information. It adequately summarised the history of Germany and I did learn a few things such as it's primary industries and more about the East-West unification project. Overall an alright read as a summary but I am sure there are better resources out there.
