This book contained a collaborative effort between poems and short stories describing different elements of rainy days.

I can see myself using this book in a classroom, particularly in grades 3-5, for an inspiration for a writing project. While it may seem as though there would be value in using this in science as well, I did not feel that there was. Generally, each poem or short story described either the rain itself or circumstances caused by rain. The form is definitely description as it is describing all of these different items. There were very few pictures and the pictures that did exist were black and white and were either painted or drawn onto the page.

Mixture of stories and poems. This book had a variety of stories and poems related to rainy days. Great for teachers who live in rainy states to use during the rainy season.
