I'll admit, when my mother handed me this book, I was skeptical. Non-fiction isn't really my cup of tea but I have to say this book might have changed that. Though it took some work to muscle through the chapter on the overhand knot, I was definitely hooked by the time I finished the chapter on the figure eight knot. The plot line is a roller coaster ride of emotion. And Walter B. Gibson( I call him Gibby ) makes you feel like you are right there with him, wrestling with the infamous Lark's Head knot, but I don't have to explain that experience to all you Knotties out there ;). And I don't even want to give spoilers, but when you find out that you need to bring the end of the rope back through the loop of a bowline in order to tie it, you just get blown away. But you'll find that out for yourself when you read this. Verdict: AMAZING!!!!!!!!
ha. sarcasm.
