A sweet story about the magic of imagination and a favorite pair of boots. When a boy named William Wilkins puts on his red cowboy boots, his imagination can take him anywhere―to the Amazon River, to the Wild West, to the moon, and even flying on a magic carpet! When his feet outgrow the boots, William is understandably despondent. However after falling asleep one night he discovers he can still visit these far-off places, because the magic is in his mind, not in his boots! 670L
One of my favorite children’s adventure books. Even if a boy outgrows his magic cowboy boots, can’t he still imagine going anywhere he wants? Of course he can.
The Magic Boots by Emerson_ Scott - Post_ Howard Children's story about William and how his magic boots take him to where he wants to go-he has quite the imagination. Problem is when he grows older and his feet grow they no longer fit.... I received this book from National Library Service for my BARD (Braille Audio Reading Device).
What a beautifully illustrated story! The cowboy boots that fuel the imagination are real life for the youngsters in our house. This book is already a forever favorite!
A sweet, lesson-learned, book for boys and girls. I bought it over 15 years ago for my granddaughter after we bought her a pair of red boots. She, my grandson and second granddaughter have all three loved listening to the book and then learning to read it to me.
