A sweet and magical short story! I look forward to reading Luminata and more books in the Meclauks Kingdom world.

I enjoyed reading the short story Star Flame which introduces Opal, an Oak Fae.
The story is set in a forest surrounding the castle where the humans live. Intriguingly, the Oak Fae are a community who live in an oak tree (yes, a world in a tree) which fascinated me.
In this short tale, we follow Opal on her journey to discover whether she will be chosen by the Elders to be a Guardian, a rite of passage she is desperate to achieve.
I look forward to book one in the Meclauks Kingdom Series.

Beautiful and engaging! Yvonne Carder paints a charming picture of a fae’s mystical journey who’s hoping to become a guardian. Can’t wait to read the next book and find out what happens at the castle!

A cute short story about Opal introduces us to the world of the Meclauks Kingdom. Perfect for those that enjoy the YA fantasy genre.
