This was a quick and easy read, giving a peek at the accomplishments of Helen Steiner Rice, the well known poet and writer. Many old photos were interspersed through the book, which was a nice touch. It was interesting enough, I guess, but seemed to be written “from a distance”, in a way. I didn’t really feel like it was that personal even though it did quote many of Helen’s letters and poems. For that reason I didn’t find it particularly memorable even though Helen does seem to have been a remarkable woman.

The story of Helens life and work. Though her private life was filled with heartache she did her best to make others feel better through her poems. Very good and encouraging.
