They say that falling for the same guy is the ultimate test of friendship. Maria, Elizabeth, and I did -- and we got through it. But I'm scared there's a much harder test...And we're headed right for it.
Francine Paula Pascal was an American author best known for her Sweet Valley series of young adult novels. Sweet Valley High, the backbone of the collection, was made into a television series, which led to several spin-offs, including The Unicorn Club and Sweet Valley University. Although most of these books were published in the 1980s and 1990s, they remained so popular that several titles were re-released decades later.
This book is about Elizabeth, Tia and Maria all involved in Lydia G Senate scholarship. Liz is bummed she is not nominated, Tia and Maria are competing and getting on each other’s nerves.
Not the usual love story but it’s quite fun to read, especially when Tia, as always, sticks to her friends and the story evolves into something fun. Oh, there is a story of Jade getting to know Evan, and also having troubles with her father.
I give it an easy 4 stars for the delight and easy reading.
This was one of the worst YA books I have ever read. I did not expect this from Sweet Valley High series, who took over on this project. I skimmed through the entire book while walking around the track field and completed within 30-45 minutes while exercising! Please no more books like this!
