I can't believe I found such a great book on preaching for $1 at a yard sale. I didn't know Elizabeth Achtemeier before as she is not from my tradition. I really enjoyed reading this book on preaching, even though I disagree with her on a few things and found some things outdated. However, her belief that creativity comes from our relationship with God and not from how many great illustrations we've collected in our sermon notebooks was refreshing and convicting. A good read.
