Querida Jane, Querida Charlotte pretende ser un libro de viajes. Espido Freire intenta escribir sobre Jane Austen y las hermanas Brönte mientras describe las zonas de Inglaterra en las que las escritoras vivieron. En el caso de Austen es un periplo por varias ciudades. En el caso de Charlotte se trata de un recorrido por su casa.

Querida Jane, Querida Charlotte puede ser o no un libro de viajes. Por un lado, depende del porcentaje de vicisitudes del viajante que al lector le guste leer. Si soport

Me interesó el libro por esa unión de Jane Austen y las hermanas Brontë que tanto admiro. Sin embargo, a pesar de resultarme interesante en algunos puntos, no me gustó la implicación de la autora, sus opiniones y sus vaivenes personales. Me sentí como si estuviera leyendo un cuaderno personal o hecho para amigos, no me gustó nada ese estilo tan pegado a ella, nombrando sus obras, lo que ella creía que se asemejaba a Marianne o a Anne o Catherine... lo veo fuera de lugar.

He disfrutado enormemente con este libro. He llegado a emocionarme y llorado con las desventuras de estas fantásticas mujeres, especialmente con las hermanas Brontë. Ahora estoy releyendo "Cumbres Borrascosas" y seguro que le seguirán "Jane Eyre", "Emma", "Agnes Grey" y "Persuasión". Espido Freire escribe con una pluma sublime. Ha hecho un libro maravilloso. María Laura Espido Freire (her pen name is just her surnames Espido Freire) is a writer born in Bilbao, Spain on July 16, 1974.

Espido Freire dedicated her early years to the study and performance of classical music. She received a degree in English philology from the University of Deusto, where she also studied for a master's degree in editing.
