They’re married, they have their dream home, and they have survived everything that both Nature and madmen have thrown at them. Their careers are going well, Beth as a self-defense instructor, Donovan as a dare devil race driver. Time for Beth and Donovan to think about a family, or it should be until once again, disaster strikes and when it does, it comes in deadly droves.

Fires anywhere are terrifying and deadly, but in Florida, there is the perfect combination for fires tha

Beth is working hard to overcome the physical and psychological damage done from the Hawaiian honeymoon and the tsunami they faced. So far, we’ve had a hurricane, an earthquake, and a tsunami, so, seeing we are in California, it’s only right we have a fire. Sorry if it sounds like I will enjoy it, but…

Fires must be one of the most frightening things to face. It’s alive, “it breathes, eats, and moves”.

First thing on the agenda, though, is they are trying to make a baby.

Flaming Crimes is the slightly more relaxed sequel to Tsunami Crimes. The genre is romantic suspense/crime and this series certainly lives up to those claims!! You will be on the edge of your seat the entire time. There were definitely times where I said “noo, not again!” aloud at all the unfortunate situations Beth and Donovan find themselves in, but the suspense level was down a notch, which I definitely appreciated! It was cool to read a book that takes place where I live (central Florida, ea ...more

First of, I have to point out that this is the 4th book in the series, and although the main story was kind of standalone, the background story was not. Beth and Donovan relationship for once, had built from the first book, progressing through the series. In this book, they’ve got married, had thriving career, and in the start of thinking having family aka baby. Of course, life was never simple for them both. This time, another mad man manipulating nature to get his revenge on our beloved couple ...more

Here we go again! Hurricane's, Earthquakes and Tsunami's can't stop them, but will raging fires see the end of Beth and Donavan? Or will it be the bad guys who are lurking in the smoke? "Flaming Crimes" is one of those books that will keep you on the edge of your seat. I could almost feel the heat from the fires in this one (as well as the heat between Beth and Donovan!)

I listened to this fourth book in the Disaster Series on Audible, and it was just as intriguing as the paper books. Loved it! G

I listened to this on audio.
I love this series because they are always getting into so much trouble as bad luck seems to follow Beth and Donovan. Seriously I would stay away from being friends with these two because it’s dangerous for your health. I was not disappointed by this audio it’s exciting and as always the narration is great.

Beth and Donovan are on fire in more ways than one. This fourth in the disaster crime series by Chrys Fey, is exciting, well paced and hot. The wild fires burning in Florida are coming dangerously close to their neighborhood. But if the fire started by arson, Beth has a hunch who may be threatening everything and everyone dear to her.

One of the reasons I love Beth and Donovan and quite frankly, would love to hang out with them, is the fact that they eat blueberry chocolate chip pancakes, loaded

Four books into this series and there isn’t much to say. I either liked it or I didn’t; but of course, I liked it. I liked this installment a lot (4.5 stars a lot). I was filled with all the usual romance and suspense you’d expect from the series, along with what I hope will be a new direction for the series.

In this installment, Beth and Donovan are enjoying their happily ever after, but of course, it’s been no fairy tale. Donovan has had to be strong for his recovering wife and show a patience

Donovan “’We need a vacation.’ Beth laughed. ‘Our vacations tend to be deadly.’ … ‘One day we’ll have a normal vacation.’”

Truer words were never been written before, these two need to stay locked up in their house. Oh wait, that won’t even help them, the antagonist, both natural and human, come to their door step in this newest installment of Disaster Crimes. Disaster is the perfect word for these two, even so I can’t help but love them.

What I liked about this book is that the natural disaster

I think this may be my favorite book in the series... maybe. It's a tough call, but this one definitely contains enough story layers to keep things interesting, and the fire scenes are chillingly realistic. Poor Donovan and Beth are happily married now, but alas, danger and the bad guys aren't done messing with them yet.

Beth proves herself, once again, to be a real bad ass who's willing to put her life on the line for the people she loves, but her poignant desire to have a baby adds a vulnerabl

A great fourth book, hopefully there is more to come. Beth and Donovan are now married and ready to have a child. Life is still not easy, someone is trying to sabotage their happiness. Had to keep reading to find out , impossible to wait.

This review is written after listening to the audio version of this book.

This is book four in a series where every story features a natural disaster, in previous books, we have had a hurricane, an earthquake, and a tsunami and now in this book, we have a wildfire. Although each story is standalone the two main characters remain the same - these two have had so many things to contend with I really feel for them.

enjoyed this book once we got past all the sex scenes. I like the way the couple have to cope with a natural disaster while fighting for there lives against a more human kind, it makes the stories so unique and interesting. The book was a bit slow to start and does concentrate on the couple's love life more than the crime and disaster but once I started I found I couldn't stop listening. I think this is because the story is so different from the normal style of book and I have grown to like the ...more

In Flaming Crimes by Chrys Fey, the devastation of a dry season and flash fires popping up everywhere leaves the residents of Florida, including Donovan and Beth, worried about the safety of their new home and all they hope to have as a couple.

Beth is on the road to recovery with the constant care of her loving husband but finally realizes she must gather her courage, shake off the past, and begin their future. But this is an action-adventure novel, so just when Donovan and Beth think the coast

Our favorite couple, Beth and Donovan, have survived a lot over the past couple of years...hurricane, earthquake, tsunami...and are finally enjoying married life in Central FL. Beth has her self defense school and Donovan, his monster truck racing they'd like to start a family, but that has been slow coming...doesn't help the pressure from Donovan's mom and grand mom! Flaming Crimes is another gripping book in Chrys Fey's Disaster Crimes series. Having listened to books 2 & 3, I was looking forward to finding out more about Donovan and Beth and what dangers they might find themselves in Flaming Crimes. They are back in their forever home in Florida, living a good life and once again ominous things begin to happen. Who is it now that wants them dead? Stong, riveting characters, (I enjoy the relationship of the Goldwyns with their detective friend Thorne--the b ...more

I submit this review after listening to the audiobook of this title.
After listening to the other books in this series, this one deals with a lot of fears that people today must confront. The fear of muggings and rape, and how to face it. The fear of almost losing a loved one in an accident, the fear of fire and the devastating impact it has on a family and community. Then there is the fear of being targeted by a ruthless criminal, being kidnapped and facing a terrible death at his hands.

Just when Beth and Donovan have settled into married life and are considering starting a family, all hell breaks loose again in the form of bush fires and psychopathic bad guys. Our dynamic duo face sabotage, fear, intrigue, kidnapping, uncertainty and fire as it all intertwines in their lives and puts both at risk. The mix of action, romance and drama in this story is great and the narration showcases it well. Bill Nevitt does a great job of bring the characters to life and letting the emotions ...more

Flaming Crimes by Chrys Fey is both a standalone listen and part of a series. Beth and Donovan are the featured couple in this book. In past stories, the couple has endured a hurricane, an earthquake, and a tsunami. Now they are dealing with wildfire. I love how the author meshes action, disaster, crime and romance into one. The storyline has some unpredictable twists. Bill Nevitt brings the characters to life with his performance. I enjoy how he has distinguishable voices for the characters. I ...more

This is book four in the series. Every audio has a theme. There is always a natural disaster that the couple seems to get into .
There is the hurricane, the tsunami. Right after their honeymoon in Hawaii where another disaster followed them .
Hero is Donavan . Heroine is Beth .

I really enjoyed this book. Following a very eventful honeymoon Beth and Donavon are back home, settling into married life and try for a baby. Disaster interferes with their plans for a harmonious life, there is a spate of fires which seem to be random and could possibly be arson. When fire threatens their home the intrepid duo step up to the challenge ending with Beth facing an old adversary. A gripping story, the best in the series so far!
I really hadn't thought about firestorms in central Florida, but maybe that's what made it even more menacing. Psychopaths and pyromania are the criminal elements in this installment, but it's a very hard road to the happy ever after. Excellent read!

Bill Nevitt really succeeded in making the story greater and the danger scarier.

My fifth read from author Chrys Fey. The characters introduced in Hurricane Crimes (Disaster Crimes #1) are back in this story. Well-written romantic suspense, captivating & intriguing with well-developed characters. I’ll be reading more in this series and look forward to the fourth book. Each of Chrys Fey's books features a different type of disaster. I thought a tsunami was the worst until I read Flaming Crimes. Just the thought of being burned alive is terrifying. Ms. Fey keeps the reader on the edge of her seat as Beth and Donovan try to figure out who's after them now. Will this latest terror force them apart? Or will their love triumph? A great romantic suspense. ...more
