It's not clear on the book information pages either on amazon or goodreads, but this is a reproduction of an 1802 cooking manual. It is absolutely fascinating as a historical document, and any veteran cook (or reader of cookbooks) could probably convert some of these for use in a modern kitchen. I know there are a few vegetable recipes and egg recipes I'd like to give a try.
(I'm also now really really hungry! Wonder if we have any mutton lying around...)

Interesting historically but mostly useless as a modern cookbook other than the sauces which may seem bland.
