Cannot wait for you to read Benny and Claire's story! This book was so hard for me to finish, because I wanted to stay lost in this world with these characters forever. It was different from any other book I've ever written, but I truly enjoyed the process of writing every single page. So I hope you enjoy reading An Arrangement as much as I enjoyed writing it. <3 LMM ...more

3.5 Stars.

Claire has put her summer plans as hold as her sister is in the hospital. Claire plans on using her trust fund to help save her. However there is a catch. She has to marry someone rich to receive her trust. She approaches a childhood friend with a proposition and he accepts. This is the story of their arranged marriage and how they deal with stress, sickness, family, and dealing with your feelings for each other.

The characters in this story drove me crazy. There were many times that

I really loved Benny, he was such a sweet guy, "Benny looked over me with a smile. “I was watching you. I’m always watching you.” I really liked this book, hated Claire's mom though.
Reviews from the Heart (Kimberly Anne)
Claire had known Benny since she was a child. Their families were friends so ,naturally so did they. Claire loved Benny but, he was quite a lot older than her. I felt for Claire! Feeling like you always want to be where that person is. Dreaming of getting married to them, and being together forever! But, hearts are crushed, we all grow up, and will go separate ways.

A grown up Claire finds she needs to get married to help her sick sister, Amy. Claire's controlling and selfish mother steps in! H

I loved the synopsis for this book. When I saw it I was like "I HAVE TO READ THIS!"

However, I was really disappointed. I didn't like all of the doubt and questioning coming from the heroine. She was so "woe-is-me" and it got old. She had no confidence and that bothered me a lot. I didn't like how gullible she ended up being.

The only saving grace in this book, in my opinion was the hero. He wasn't thrown off by the situation and actually WANTED her even though she never believed it was more tha

I am not a fan of romance. At all. However, I am a fan of Lindsey's 6th novel, An Arrangement, a contemporary romance story. Wait. What? A CR novel? Yes I can bend sometimes.....and for Benny I can bend and lie down!

The plot is excellent, the characters are strong, and the scenes flow well! This story definitely pulled that one pesky heart string I possess! Claire is a young women, forced to become an adult too quickly. Decisions she is forced to make impact not only her life, but her sister's l

I really wanted to enjoy this story. I couldn't totally get into the story.

Claire is not the best of characters. She is supposed to be this smart woman in college and everything. Her mother is a gold digger apparently, that is why her father put the money in a trust fund for the girls (even though the one is dying) but yet Claire and her sister can't touch the money until they are 21 and married? Oh, and they have to marry someone that is equally wealthy to them.

Then you have Ben that was a fr

An Arrangement by Lindsay Marie Miller is the first book in her Summer in New York series. It is not my first encounter with this writer so my expectations very pretty high.
An Arrangement is the story of Benny and Claire who have known each other since they were kids. Their parents used to summer next to each other in the Hamptons but now, they have drifted apart. Claire has always had a crush on Benny and unknown to her Benny has always ‘watched’ her … And then there is Claire’s younger sister

This is my first Lindsay Marie Miller read and I'm grateful for knowing of her through this free reader's copy.

The storyline isn't completely new to me but what was unique was that it was the female protagonist who was looking for someone to marry in order for her to access her trust fund— on the condition that the guy has to have an equal financial standing or more... Claire Andrews' dire situation forced her hand to do something this ridiculous in order for her to be able to financially suppor

A 4.5 star read for An Arrangement, Summer in New York Book 1, by Lindsay Marie Miller. This is a new to me author and I was so thrilled to read this book.
Claire has been in love with Benny since she was a little girl. And once again he has become her saving grace. Claire’s younger sister is gravely I’ll and the only way that Claire can pay for her medical treatment is to access her trust fund. In order to do that, she has to be married and married to a wealthy man at that. She can’t imagine he

I received a free ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review. That being said, my opinion is my own.

This story had a lot of potential, it really did but certain aspects of this story rubbed me the wrong way. The leading lady had a lot going on in her life but good lord was she a complete ninny. Almost everything makes her cry, good bad, whatever. She should be dehydrated from all that nonsense. The male takes knight in shining armor a bit too far. I think the story would have progressed

Lindsay Marie Miller writes a pretty good story. This was my first read for her. I think the characters were well written and the story line was good. I'd do anything for my sister too. I think the story was a little more drawn out then I would have liked, but hey... I'm not the writer. There was a good amount of push and pull between Benny and Claire. Benny was just happy to have her and Claire was reluctant to believe it was real due to the arrangement they made. Either way everyone is happy i ...more

This story had me hooked. From page 1till the end I loved the journey and turmoil the characters go through was so perfectly described that I felt every up and every down. A beautiful combination of character and story that allows it to flow well.

Overall this was a good read. It really didn't need to be this long though. Claire and Ben have known each other since they were kids. So when Claire has to find a husband she asks Ben. The relationship was really wish washy and got on my nerves. Thankfully in the end everything worked out.

An Arrangement seems like a straight forward enough story line, Claire needs money to save her sister who has a heart condition. She's exhausted all traditional treatment and the only thing left is to pay out of pocket for experimental drugs. Problem is their expensive and Claire doesn't have the money.
Lucky for her her mother tells her of a trust her father set up for her that she'll come into on her 21st birthday, a trust that comes with strings attached.

***ARC PROVIDED BY AUTHOR FOR AN HONEST REVIEW***

‘An Arrangement’ by Lindsay Marie Miller was a first time read for me by this author and was an enjoyable read. 4 stars for this read that I enjoyed although it still had an infuriating character in Claire’s mother. The premise of the book is one that I (and probably most of you) have read, its a marriage of convenience that turns into so much more.

I hated her, I loved her, I wanted to choke her, I cried with her, I cheered her on, I cheered with her. Dang Claire made me tired. That girl pulled more emotions out of me than the 31 flavors at Baskin Robbins. This was an amazing read. I don't do 5 star reviews oftern but I have to take my hat off on this book.

Oh Lord why can't I have an arrangement that turns out like this. Claire needs help in so many ways. This poor girl is a mess. When things get too much and she really needs a way out sh

An Arrangement was a tug of war kind of romance with a big emphasis on the latter. Their love felt like they were at war and therefore the romance aspect never really took off for me. Despite that the writing and characters managed to rile me up and bring out many emotions in me and for that I commend Lindsay Marie Miller. After finding out her little sister needs an expensive treatment to survive, Claire has to find a man to marry so she can access her trust fund and pay for it. Enter Benny. Th ...more

Where to start... my favourite character had to be Benny for a billionaire mogul he was the sweetest. He loved, he worked and he was respectful... not many attributes you would describe for a man in his position.

The plot while many would think as funny was exceptionally serious and discussed a very touching subject. The struggles these characters faced were immense and don’t get me started on Claire’s mother... what an absolute a**hat.

My biggest gripe is with Claire who was always crying about

Infuriating read but one that I couldn't put down. It made for compulsive reading.

So basic premise: Claire needs to access her inheritance so her sister can receive life saving treatment. Claire needs to be married to be able to access it. Enter childhood friend and billionaire, Ben, who agrees to an arrangement to help her out.

Let me start by saying that Claire's mother is a manipulative, selfish and nasty bi**h putting money before family and doing her best to confuse Claire and her feelings f

This is my first book from this author, and after the incredible characters and storyline that this author captures you in, I will be looking forward to read what else this author brings with her books and the rest in this series.

An Arrangement is the first book in Summers in New York series by Lindsay Marie Miller. It is a contemporary romance, that has a lot of drama, tension in spades, a heap of push/pull, and the characters emanate so much sizzling chemistry.
Claire Andrews is almost twenty-one years’ old, and is about to start her final year at University, studying economics. She had plans to do an internship over the summer break, but all her plans are put on hold when her younger sister ends up in hospital

I received this book as an advanced reading copy.

My first thought was that the initial writing was beginners work. To descriptive but in bad ways. "where my delicate little sister, weak and feeble as she was, lay in the pale shape of an unwell figure." Seriously, the pay shape of an unwell figure? The next page, the doctor suddenly is smiling and greeting Claire as if he hadn't just spoke to her a few minutes before and as if he is delighted to see her. The delight and happiness seems completely

What an interesting take on a fake engagement! An Arrangement is such a unique novel. This book has a little bit of everything. There is sexual tension, family drama, secrets, lies, and a fake engagement. If you like a whirlwind story, then this is the one for you.
The plot was fascinating. I love fake fiancée/marriage books. There is just something about being thrust into a situation and then finding feelings that calls to me. An Arrangement does this for me. The plot is written well. The story
