Sheila Robert's stories have a way of dragging you into the story and making you feel like you are part of the town. Very well written with a great cast of characters that will make you laugh and cry. I have fallen in love with the town of Moonlight Harbor. I really enjoyed the story and hated to see it end. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

Sheila has gone and done it again! Wow! Winter at the Beach is the perfect Christmas lesson for everyone. Remembering what’s important and what really matters in life. We all have our share of problems but if you have family and good friends all is not so bad.
Jenna is running her Great Aunt Edie's Driftwood Inn at Moonlight Harbor. So many changes over the last year has brought Jenna and her 14 year old daughter to the beach. Jenna is new to running an Inn and has to find a way to survive the w

Old friends and new ones are in Sheila Roberts second installment in the Moonlight Harbor Novel series, Winter at the Beach. Winter is slow for the small beach town of Moonlight Harbor and all the business are having financial problems, especially Jenna who runs the Driftwood Inn for her Great Aunt Edie. Wouldn’t a winter festival be great to bring in people? A storm causes havoc with high winds, hard rain and electricity out. With The Driftwood full Jenna pulls together with her friends and mak ...more

Of course I have to say it another great book by Sheila. I enjoyed getting to know the new cast of characters that decided to go to the Christmas Festival at Moonlight Harbor. I connected a little with Taylor at first as I have a husband who is trying to start his own business. Luckily though he is doing it on the side. I kind of wish Taylor would not have put on the blame on her husband as her job was not paying or working out either so she should have looked for something else. Then you had ru ...more

For Blog Tour in December! Can't wait to share my thoughts! I liked this one even better than the first in the series!

I get sucked in by these books in a series and this wasn’t bad. It just wasn’t outstanding. Would I read number three if it came out? Probably. This isn’t a Nantucket story by the way. It takes place in a small community south of Seattle in Washington state. Just for a change.

Ok first off....this book should have 10 stars. I LOVED this story. Sheila has really done a FABULOUS job on this book. Ok, Winter At The Beach is the 2nd in the Moonlight Harbor series. (Welcome to Moonlight Harbor is equally great) Jenna (was also in the 1st book) has got Aunt Edie’s hôtel up and running, she’s trying to find a way to get more guests to come to the beach for Christmas. They (all the shop owners in Moonlight Harbor) plan to have a festival and they also put out groupons to get ...more

I finished reading Winter at the Beach by Sheila Roberts just this weekend. As usual, Ms. Roberts has the ability to take a sometimes-sad story and see the humor in the situation. This one is no different. This is the second in a new series for Ms. Roberts which is set on the Pacific northwest coast in the fictional town of Moonlight Harbor.

In this book, we again meet the characters from the last book, Jenna Jones, her teenaged daughter, Sabrina, and Jenna’s Aunt Edie, whom they now live with. T

Life as the beach is always good, says Jenna who has been blessed by the opportunity to start over at her aunt’s beach side motel. When her ex flew the coop, she and her teenaged daughter flew the coop to begin again a life more meaningful or so she hoped. The beginnings of her new life was fraught with some problems, but the good folk of Midnight Harbor flocked around to help her out and boost her up.

Winter was coming however and the few reservations she had were canceling. Looking over the bo

WINTER AT THE BEACH, by Sheila Roberts, is the second in her new series set on the Washington coast in the fictional town of Moonlight Harbor. While it can absolutely be read and greatly enjoyed as a stand-alone novel, I urge reading book #1 as well ... because ... ITS SHEILA ROBERTS ... a guaranteed happily-ever-after in every one of her books!

WINTER AT THE BEACH is jam-packed with funny, relatable characters in completely “normal” circumstances that - in the skillful hands of this masterful s

Sheila Roberts has gotten her Moonlight Harbor series off to a great start with the first two, Welcome to Moonlight Harbor and now, Winter at the Beach. What's not to love about a beach setting? You feel like you're there and no sand on your feet to bring in the house! I'm enjoying getting to know the characters and feeling like they are friends. Each one brings a different element and viewpoint to the story.
Summertime at the beach is very profitable for the Moonlight Harbor entrepreneurs and c

Christmas is approaching in Sheila Roberts’ Winter at the Beach, making it a perfect read for the season, with its enticing blend of sand and sea with winter snow. If you haven’t always wondered what happens at the seaside when the season’s done, you’ll still be delighted to learn. Though whether you’ll want to visit Santa on a snowy beach may still be in doubt.

Characters from this and other series’ weave naturally into this tale, and their very human concerns blend smoothly with the community s

This is the second installment in the Moonlight Harbor Novel series but reads well all on its own. It is a story of reinvention, of overcoming obstacles, creating a new way in life and discovering what is most important to you.
When Jenna Jones takes over running the Driftwood Inn, she has to learn how to get through winter at the beach. She has the idea of a Santa festival. The one thing you can never fully predict is the weather.
The characters are endearing and your own troubles will seem ligh

Winter at the beach

This book is the second in the series of Moonlight Harbor. It has the same great characters Jenna, Aunt Edie, Sabrina, Seth, Pete, Brody and more. There are also new characters that come to light due to the festival storm that hits their little town and creates all kinds of havoc.

Sheila Roberts knows how to get these characters into your heart like no other author I’ve read. The characters come to life right off the pages. I know who I want Jenna to choose as a partner but fo

Another fantastic book by Sheila Roberts — and book two in her new Moonlight Harbor series — is a great holiday read! As usual, her characters are believable and likable. Jenna, the new owner of a run down motel, works hard to get the formerly-cute tourist motel into shape — and financially profitable. She and her Aunt Edie (cookie baker extraordinaire!) welcome a whole slew of people for a holiday festival Jenna has planned with her small town. Lots of challenges and difficulties for them all, ...more

There are very few books I rate 5stars. They have to be engaging, grab me from the first page, make me feel like I'm part of the story, and get my emotions doing flips. Well this story is all that! OMG! I love returning to Moonlight Harbor to visit my old friends. I love the time of year I was placed into. My favorite from Halloween til New Years. I love Jenna. She is strong and has a killer inner voice. I think her and I are alike. Oh and don't get me started of Seth. If you haven't read this b ...more

Jenna seems to be plagued by Murphy's Law - if it can go wrong, it will! Jenna loves Moonlight Harbor and the Driftwood Inn, but is struggling to make a profit. She convinces the town to have a festival to get more tourists to visit. It all sounds good, but the weather chooses not to cooperate and the kickoff parade is a disaster and things don't appear to get any better. However, through it all, Jenna and her family and friends stick together to make guests comfortable and find interesting thin ...more

Shelves: holiday
This one was a little slower than the first, for me. It’s got a fun idea - a parade at Christmas, a power outage at the inn and a few side stories of people who get stranded with Jenna and crew. The romance is almost non existent in this one - her relationships with Seth and Brody (#teamseth) don’t progress and there’s only one kiss each. The side stories are a bit distracting but make sense once everyone is together. I felt like it was a little flat, some things Jenna should have been emotional ...more

This is the second book in the Moonlight Harbor series. Continued on nicely from the first of the series. 40 year old divorcee moves to live with her great great aunt at Moonlight Harbor, running her old renovated motel on the beach. Struggling to make a success of this area in the winter time when tourists aren't as plentiful. They plan a Christmas festival and then the fun begins. Light and easy reading.

Ms. Roberts is a pro at pulling you into a small town where people you would never expect to get along, end up not only dealing well with a winter storm that closes the only road out of town, causes a complete electrical outage and, forces people to learn to deal with others.
It's a crowded place in which they will either have to get along or accept and understand that the most important thing in life is LOVE
The perfect story that reminds us all of the TRUE Meaning of Christmas!

Sheila Roberts has given us another good read. Life is always better at the beach! Even when you have horrible weather to deal with.

Sheila gives us characters that we wish we could meet and be friends with. She also teaches life lessons that are important to anyone that reads her books. I absolutely love this book and the Moonlight Harbor series. I can't wait for the next book! Happy Reading!

How do you fill rooms and drum up business during the holidays? You host a Seaside with Santa Festival and offer a deal on Groupon. Now that the Driftwood Inn is fully booked and all the preparations for the festival are finished, will a Winter Storm ruin everything? It definitely brings some challenges with it but when everyone in Moonlight Harbor bands together, it may just turn out to be an unforgettable adventure that leads to something new.

Good reading

I can't wait till the next book comes out to found out what happens with Jenna and the gang, plus Kat too. P,ease let it be very soon . I love reading and enjoying the ups and downs with this family. What a blessing. Please say that it will be very soon for hoping that Jenna did a her true love with the handyman, not the lady's man.

I thought this book was very good. The story about a beach town comes together a Christmas Festival time because of bad weather. It was a story of strangers who had to live together for several days and how things went, the old fashioned things they did and the things they learned about each other. It was great reading . I must say the ending was very good.

The book was awesome, I enjoy it very much. Jenna was determined to make her Aunt's Inn a success & she did , the town pulled together to help her out during the storm. What a great book.

I would recommend this book to every one who reads, it's a wonderful book. The author is the best, I enjoy reading her books.

Sheila Roberts is happily married and lives in the Pacific Northwest. Her books are best-sellers, and have been made into movies for the Lifetime and Hallmark channels. When she’s not speaking to women’s groups or at conferences or hanging out with her hubby or girlfriends, she can be found writing about those things near and dear to women’s hearts: family, friends, and chocolate.
