I bought this book for an obvious reason, I took the APUSH exam and I needed to review. It exceeded my expectations. Not only did this book review the history content that we learned in class, but it went beyond and deeper by talking about international events and how they relate to American policies. It also gave some test-taking tips but if you are looking for more in-depth explanations on the test format itself I would spring for the premium version. This book did a good job or reviewing everything from the Bering Strait to the Iran Contra Affair. I'll be honest I did not exactly enjoy reading this book, but overall, it was helpful. I would recommend this book to anyone who is taking the AP US History exam. I know that it says 2019 on it but the history of the 1800s won't change in 2020. This book would also be helpful to anyone who is taking APUSH because if you read it during the year, not only will it help you with your in-class tests, but it will make studying for the Exam 10x easier.

Not perfect - glossed over some topics/events, and jumps around the historical timeline, which can be confusing. However, generally does a good job. Good summaries of events and fairly comprehensive, with some material we didn't cover much in class. Decent book overall. BUT: Has the same practice questions as the 2013 edition, so be aware that it's not exactly the most up-to-date format.
