Charles is in elementary school. His family, the Petersons, have a puppy named Buddy plus they foster dogs and help them find homes.

Charles and his mom are in the grocery store where he sees a flyer on the bulletin board about Bitsy, a puppy who needs to be rehomed. Charles is drawn to the Bitsy's picture and since the Petersons find homes for dogs, he wants to help. Charles' mom contacts the owner and they take Bitsy home. Bitsy is a cutie and Charles and Buddy have a lot of fun playing with her.

In the meantime, Charles and his mom have joined a local choral group and Charles begins taking piano lessons from a visiting teacher. When Charles discovers Bitsy loves music, he starts sneaking her in when he is practicing and she is loved by everyone.

Though this book is a quick read and directed at elementary-aged children, I found it entertaining. There is a learning experience and a puppy tip at the end. It is written in third person perspective and first person from Bitsy's point of view. It is the 48th in the Puppy Place series, which currently has 66 books in the series, and works as a stand alone.

Bitsy is a itsy Morkie (maltese-yorkie mix). Charles saw her on a poster in the grocery store and they called the number and picked her up. Mr craig was in town for a concert and charles and his mom joined. Charles took piano lessons from mr craig and brought bitsy along. She loves being sung to and is part of the concert. Mr Craig adopts her.

I had to read a book for my book club this month about a series book, so I went back to my 3rd grade roots and read this book! Such a cute and fun read!! It is really funny to see how much more you pick up when you’re 14 years older!!🤣 I love the “ancient song” Brown Eyed Girl and it was really cute how Charles would call Bitsy his brown eyed girl!

Bitsy was cute. The book was cute and a little sad. It was sad because I don't like when dogs lose their home. But the part where I felt happy was when Bitsy found a new home. Lizzy, Charles, and their family found her a good new home because her original home wasn't working out.

This was a very wholesome read. I’m a dog lover so I definitely connected with that part of the story. It would make for a good storytime book. However I wouldn’t necessarily be in a hurry to purchase it.

This is a cute little story. This book is good for little kids who are learning to read and LOVE dogs. The book is written the best but I read these when I was little so I am biased. I also have a dog that is little-not as little as Bitsy but still little- and is tan and white.
