This is an unven compilation of papers on the topic of materialism. The first chapter, by Suchting, is a great commentary on the Theses on Feuerbach. Chapters 3, by Soper and 4, by Benton, have good discussions on the relationship between Marxism and biology. Benton, in particular, has a refreshing view on the work of Engels.
The chapters of Collier and Hellman, on the other hand, were not so good.

Rating for V2 in the series (Materialism). Overall fine, but Benton's contribution the only one I found particularly worthwhile.
