Odotin saavani luettavaksi Tammen kultaiset kirjat -sarjan hengen mukaisesti pidemmän version Pieni Merenneito -tarinasta, mutta tämä olikin hieman pienemmille suunnattu opus. Alkuperäinen teos on todennäköisesti ollut pahvikantinen, tai ainakin näin oletin tekstin tasosta?
