Life, Death, and the End of the World

"In an interesting, easy-to-read manner, David Norris explains Daniel, Revelation, and related topics with scholarly excellence, doctrinal accuracy, and practical application. Illustrations and anecdotes make the main points clear, while more technical information appears in numerous footnotes. . . . If you want one book on a Pentecostal understanding of prophecy, this is it." –David K. Bernard

Dr. Norris' work is thick, well researched, and readable. I love the way that he illustrates his points through mini-narratives scattered throughout the research. It is certainly unique. Wonderful overview of biblical eschatology while entertaining other views for the sake of exploration and refutation.

Such an awesome analytical view of prophecy and the end times! The complexity is somewhere between Big Ideas and I Am: very easy to grasp! Overall an excellent read!

I enjoyed reading Life, Death, and the End of the World written by David S. Norris. It is well-written and the author goes into great depth explaining endtime prophecy.
The book is divided into four parts. Part One is called Laying the Foundation and it deals with the basics from the very beginning. Part Two is titled Kings, Kingdoms, & the Kingdom of God. Part Three is called Reading the End of God's Story and it deals with the end of the world as we know it. Part Four is titled Final Things and it deals with the final judgment of humanity.
I would not rate Life, Death, and the End of the World as an easy book to read but it is readable. There are portions where slowing down to grasp what is being read is required but the amount of knowledgeable material available is well worth slowing down to comprehend what the author is saying.
This is a book that belongs in the library of any serious eschatology student.
