Rarely do I drive by a site of one of Tulsa's former movie palaces without thinking of an essay in this book which points out how many of my city's architectural gems have been raised for parking lots.

Michael Wallis has put together a tremendous collection of essays. Each is insightful. Some are heartwarming. Some pierce with truth. All are well written.
