Mary Todd Lincoln's story where it informs about her adolescence and adult life struggles. I recommend this book for students who are eager to learn about history characters.

I liked this book a lot but it wasn't amazing so thats why i rated it a 4 star.So it basically started out with her childhood. She was born in Kentucky with 6 other siblings, which is alot.It was sad for her when her mom died when Mary was 6.She married the 16th president of the USA Abraham Lincoln in 1842.Which means she was the first lady.In 1865 her husband Lincoln got shot in the back of the head.In 1882 she died in a coma at the age of 63.

The Childhood of Famous Americans series may be for younger readers, but they are very enjoyable and educational books.I will always remember this one as being the first chapter book that I read;that was the beginning of my love of reading!
