Chapters cover the common challenges of working with trafficked and exploited people and how to overcome them, including topics like runaway youth, trauma-bonds, system-level challenges, and resource scarcity .
Intended as a teaching tool for students or a supplementary manual for organizations, this book emphasizes interventions and treatments, working with specific populations, programmatic design recommendations, preventative work, and outreach interventions. Researchers, students, and practitioners will find a comprehensive guide to the emerging field of practice with sex trafficking and exploitation survivors.

This is a day to be remembered. After 7 months, I have finished this ~super light read~. But in all seriousness, this book had a lot of good information regarding Commercial Sexual Exploitation and I learned a lot within these chapters. There were different authors for each chapter which made me enjoy certain chapters over others, but overall the content will definitely aid in my overall professional development.

Despite its name and cover, this is one of the most impactful books I’ve read in a long time. I have taken to referring to it as “The Bible” while at work. If you are involved in working with survivors of sex trafficking, this is a must-read and guide for best practices. Highly recommend.
