This book is a life changer, I went on an emotional roller coaster ride reading this. It's just that the author could do better on the sex scene, and i wish there was more plot.

USING THIS TO CONTINUE MY REVIEW REACTION OF "Beyond the Sea" by Keira Andrews

***

i'm on page 119
They're beginning to adjust well living on this island.

LMAO! They even have a routine when Brian needs his alone time, Troy will joke to pick him up all this fast food.
Awwwfuck! So fucking special that whenever Brian returns from his time alone, Troy fills with warm joy as he ask him what imaginary food he picked up.

Good that they have an agreement to never venture in the forest alone. They really need rules.

Haha, Troy starting to like how free he is being in this deserted island.
THEY'VE BEEN STRANDED FOR 6 WEEKS! 42 days!

LMFAO! They're so comfortable with each other now that they're joking about slang words for masturbation.
OH SHIT! NOT TROY SUGGESTING TO GET BRIAN OFF…it's starting.
They're treating this as a stress reliever and no they're not gay….ok. Ngl this is good for them.

Hmm, pretty ok first time together.

Good to know that both fucking liked it and wish they'd do it again.
And both are arguing with themselves insisting that they're straight and they're just set doing this because it's convenient.

---

Brian finally sharing what happen to him.
So a circuit breaker for a toilet blew on a plane he was flying. Started a fire outside the aircraft and burning the inside and circuitry of the plane
Brian successfully landed the plane in some farmer's field. But fire stared to rapidly ignite throughout the plane because of the oxygen.
Brian had to jump out the cockpit.

But Brian feels that he should have done more and that it was his fault for not immediately noticing the fire.
He really did what he can. HE SAVED 67 LIVES over the 86 passenger and crew on board. I wonder if Rich the second pilot and that Chantal girl was Brian's friends, maybe this is why he doesn't get close to his coworkers anymore?!
Fuuck! Brian's still feels so guilty of this. Saying he should've died instead, he has survivor's guilt. He's been carrying this for years…

It's good that Troy is there to reassure him it wasn't his fault and that he's a hero and that he saved his life.

Hmm, Troy cuddling and lulling Brian to sleep as he cry freely…

---

215 pages in.

Haha, Brian waking up in the early dawn to Troy spooning him. Hilarious and cute.
Brian just waiting for the crushing guilt he always felt when he think of that tragic event but there's just nothing…just Troy saying that it wasn't your fault.
Must feel good to let all that out to Troy.

I like that Brian told Troy that it felt good saying all that to him and he felt looser and better now.

It's sad that Brian lost his love for flying ever since the incident and it's scary how he always felt like he was suffocating when he was made to fly a short trip.
That's why he stepped down from being captain.

Troy's mom is shirty for ignoring her husband's drug addiction and drinking problems. Having your fucking son take care of him when he's out of it.
So fucked up how Troy was the one who found his dad ODed and dead.

Haha, i love that they still joke around after unloading all their baggage to each other. Brian's joke about the plane being able to fly was a miracle with all their baggage was funny.

Aww, them just hugging not wanting to let go and even going so far touching each other so softly and intimately.

I really fucking love how their relationship is developing so far.

---

I love how happy they are right now. Both feeling lighter after really opening up to each other.
Brian wanting to make Troy sing him something.
Haha he actually got Troy to sing for him. This is cute.
Love this image of them, starry night by their campfire. Troy singing and Brian listening and watching him with awe.

Awwmygod! Brian kissing him so softly and slowly after his performance…
FUUCK! I really love how much they both want this. How slowly they kissed, pausing to look at each other before going all in.

And there's no excuse this time that this is just nothing but stress relief, with the way they gently looked at each other NAH! THEY BOTH KNOW THAT THIS IS SOMETHING MORE, SOMETHING MORE BEAUTIFUL.

That was really wonderful.

---

236 pages in.

Haha, Brian thinking that that was possibly the best sex he had in his life and how badly he wanted Troy.
Same with Troy last night thinking how that was the hottest thing he's ever experienced in his life.

This is good mutual attraction.

It's good that Brian's admitting to himself that this wasn't just because he was horny and trapped together on this island with no women around. It's because it's Troy and not anyone else.
Phew! It's good that Brian is clearing this up to himself. This was my fear, that they'll both just chalk what's happening between them as just convenience.
I hope Troy clears this up too…although it's obvious that that he also feel this way.

OH THANK GOD! BRIAN SAYING NO TO PRETENDING THAT NOTHING HAPPENED LAST NIGHT.
Ohmygod, again with the soft and slow kisses. I really love that this is confirmation that they both aren't ignoring their true feelings.

Troy saying that this thing between them is real unlike the other shit he did with guys back then.

So nice that they both know that the other is fully into this. Brian asking for Troy not to overthink this. Good, knowing their feelings are real is enough.

Btw it ain't good that it hasn't been raining lately…I thought that the rainy season was coming? Guess not.

---

Ah thank God! The nightly rain has returned but they used some of their purification tablets for several days.
But the rainy season is still coming…they need to prepare a really solid and strong g shelter ready for storms and violet winds. Also they need to prioritize how to make fire when it's always raining, is a fire hut a thing!?

Honestly don't like the name they given the island, “Golden Sands”…sounds like a retirement home LMFAO!

I like that they're exploring and discovering things they never imagined they would do. Going down on each other and liking it.
I fucking love that get to do this together. Really special.

---

251 pages in.

I like that they made cutting wood a competition, timing themselves to see who's faster.

Awww, so adorable that Troy is opening up the songs he likes to write. Telling stories and metaphors through them.
Can't Troy upload on YouTube the personal folky songs he truly wants to write and sing?...oh yeah, he's supposed to be the mysterious broody one in the band…shit.

Wtf!? I thought Troy was all for them but he's still thinking that this between them means nothing?!! YOU FUCKING SAID THAT WHAT YOU TWO HAD WAS REAL?! WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO THAT?! This ain't good.

Hahaha! so fucking cute how they're laughing and joking around while going at it.
Them going out the teepee when the midnight torrential rain started to set up their water catchers and then going back to each other's arm

Nice that Brian accepted that he's bi.

OH FUCK! TROY WANTS BRIAN TO GO ALL THE WAY. They should really fucking slow down! They don't have any proper lube that'll help them, theyonly have hair oil… at least take a few days prepping Troy…

Real good that both really enjoyed it.
Fucking love how vocal Troy is ngl.

---

263 pages in.

Pretty nice that they steam their clothes. Keeps them fresh and comfy.

Haha, Troy peeing on Brian's leg to help with the jellyfish sting. I'm pretty sure that's a myth….looked it up and apparently it makes the sting worse.
LMFAOOO! Brian feeling so safe and protected while Troy pees on him. Ok.
Brian's really falling in love with Troy. Wanting to be with him all the time and offer himself up to him.

I love that Troy screamed so that Brian can also scream his pain out like Brian did with him as he takes out the tentacles stuck in Brian's calf.

Love that they're always naked now. Although I think that ain't good for their skin. They need to built something like a coat, maybe weaved and duct tape palm fronds together, protection from the sun and their midnight water collecting.

HOLYFUCKINGSHIT!!! THEY'RE HEARING AN ENGINE!!!
A HELICOPTER!!!
Oh I really really hope they see them.
OHMYFUCKINGGOD!!! THEY'RE ACTUALLY GETTING RESCUED RIGHT NOW?!
IS THIS FOR REAL?!!

Hmm, Brian looking back at their camp, their thing being toppled a destroyed by the helicopter's wind, looking at the small life they built on this little island and dreading going back home to his apartment in Sydney.
Wanting one more night with Troy here…

Brian's gotta understand that Troy's his home or something like that and not the life they built on the island, but still the island will forever mean something special to both of them…

OH THANK GOD!!! THEY'RE ACTUALLY LEGIT RESCUERS HIRED BY TROY'S LITTLE BROTHER. I was kinda worried that they'll be kidnapped for ransom or something.

Ah! the signaling mirror is what caught Peter and his crew's attention.

Hmm… leaving Golden Sands fills me with dead ngl. Knowing they left behind some of their stuff there, traces of them that no human will ever touch them is kinda scary.
I gotta remind myself that they have each other and that's all that matters.

I'll miss those starry nights there.

---

276 pages in.
I gotta say that I didn't expect for them to be rescued until the last part of the book.
But this is good, look forward to how can they make them work in the real world.

Although I'm not excited to see the shitty band.

Troy aching for Brian and their beach.
Not sure if he would be afraid to wake up back at their teepee with Brian's arms around him.

Wow! His brother actually in rehab. Good that he's trying to change.
Good to know that his mom knows how shitty she was doing nothing about her husband and letting her child take care of her drug addict husband.

Troy's a much better guy than me, I would never forgive my mom for taking my childhood away from me. FUCK HER!

I like how much Troy wanted to see Brian amidst all his family being the hospital and Savanah being at his hotel room.
Really annoying how Savanah still calls him his boyfriend as if the conversation they had didn't happened. Delusional.

OH NO…Brian went to Troy's hotel room only to see Savannah there. Yikes.
Hurting to see Troy just went back to his original life.

Thank God Troy caught him before he left.
Troy should go to Auckland with Brian, pay respects to Paula's family.

FUCK BRIAN!!! He's being such a drama queen right now.

ARE YOU FUCKING SHITTING ME!? They separated in the end, Brian insisting that they were just horny and did what they had to on the island…

---

300 pages in.
He's surrounded by so much people, his family and now his PR team and it's honestly annoying.
His PR team's annoying, wanting Troy and Brian to let the world know what they've been through.

Fucking good that he scream to leave him the fuck alone. It's fucking annoying how all this people cling to him.
It's really so surprising to me how he's all chill with his mom, letting her stay to watch TV together after neglecting him to take care of his father on his own.

Jesus Christ, Brian thinking he woke up at Golden Sands in their teepee with Brian…
WHY THE FUCK DID YOU PUSH HIM AWAY?! Fucking stupid.

Kinda loving this quiet morning in Brian's apartment. Looking up interview videos of Troy.

Seriously?! He's still saying to himself that he's straight…and that they were just horny in the island.
Really Brian?! Trying to hook up to prove something to himself?!.
PHEW! THANK GOD HE COULDN'T GO WITH IT. Realizing no matter who he's with he will always want and love Troy.

Good that he's immediately going to Troy.

---

Good for Tyson for actually trying to get better. Regretting what he said to Troy about not needing him.
Good that Tyson is seeing himself on their father, how Troy tried to help him and was doing the same for him.
Tyson accepting his drug addiction and only him can fix himself.

Wow! Troy admitting he only wants Brian.
I'm kinda surprised that he's coming out to his shitty little brother.
Honestly shocked that Tyson is easily ok with Troy being bisexual. Telling him that fuck what everyone else think only matter is that they like each other.

---

Haha, Brian's at his Malibu house last midnight. Blurting out I love you, they're so dramatic.
Phew! Good that they're together again.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THAT TRYO SAID THAT HE WANTS TO DO EVERYTHING WITH BRIAN. That's special.

Love this lazy morning. Brian seeing their signaling mirror on Troy's night stand and thinking of Golden Sands.
Haha, Troy keeps on waiting for those parrots to wake them up.

Aww, the two of them feeling alive and real when they're together. Good.

Love how comfortable and honest they are with each other. Troy wanting to do new stuff to Brian and Brian not hiding his moans and gasp so comfortable being with Troy after the shot they went through.

Cute that they're doing spa day. Brian shaving Troy and Brian's shaving himself while Troy watches. Their little ritual on the island.

Love Troy's house, the blue and white accents, floor to ceiling windows with the view of the ocean and the beach is just downstairs. Perfect for them.

Glad his mom is fine with him being in love with Brian.

Love their day just in bed. Loving each other.

---

Awww, love that they're making a bonfire by the beach wanting to relive their days at the island.
Cozying up together on a blanket, drinking beer and watching the star just like they did in their island.

Brian truly accepting that his love for flying is gone after everything he went through. UNDERSTANDABLE.
It's good that Brian can slow down with Troy and figure out what he'll do for the rest of his life. Troy can support him while he finds something he enjoys doing.
Good that Brian wants to reconnect with old friends, actually talk them and go to therapy.

So happy that Troy is gonna pursue his dream of making his own folk songs.

Awww, Brian saying that he was sleepwalking and Troy woke him up and he never wants to go to sleep again. FUCK THAT'S SO SPECIAL.

Brian asking Troy to sing him their song, the one he sang for him at the island, the Beyond the Sea one…
So wonderful.

---

EPILOGUE.
Ah! This is 4 years later.

So they're moving to North Carolina from LA because of Brian's new job and Troy expanding his horizon and ready for a new challenge.

So happy for Troy that his folk song album is successful and is planning on working on his next one.

Ah! Brian's now a pilot instructor, teaching students in a flight simulator.

WOW! I love that they live in a cabin up on the Smoky Mountains above Asheville. Imagining this huge ass cabin and them chilling in their hot tub on the deck, having fun and drinking beer. It's nice.

OH WOW! TROY'S BEING NOMINATED FOR 5 GRAMMY AWARDS WITH HIS NEW ALBUM!
He really took off with his own music.
And even doing a dirt with Tyson and Savannah. Good to know that Tyson's doing fine.

Love love how they've shown their love to the world.

Haha, really nice that next week they're gonna be in their cabin and chilling together in their hot tub again.

---

Good book.

But I feel like their time on Golden Sands were not shown enough.
I wanted more chapters of them actually exploring the islands.
Trying to hunt those noisy parrots.
Finding new food sources in the jungle and the ocean.
Try and make traps.
I REALLY WANTED THEM TO DISCOVER WHAT THE HELL WAS MAKING THAT SHRIEKING AT NIGHT. maybe they could have eat it.
Wanted to see them try and make clothes out of leaves.

Expand their shelter.

I feel like if we got all this, especially if they actually expanded their home there, that I would be crying when they flew away on that helicopter.
Just imagining them leaving a small cabin with all their traces and memories in there is kinda haunting...

That's it.
Happy for these two.

omd I absolutely loved this book so much, it was such an emotional rollercoaster, the spice was acc a bit too explicit for me...😰😰. the plot twist at the end had me staring at the wall for an hour and questioning my life. also I absolutely loved the romantic sideplot, it was so well done and did not interfere with the main plot at all. Merriam Webster is lt my fav book bf of all time❤️❤️❤️.
