This story fits in with the moral that "we all have our season." The story is about a tree named Ellie. The setting starts in the fall when the other trees' leaves are changing, but not Ellie's. The people all admire the other trees' beautiful leaves, but then the leaves all fall to the ground and it becomes winter. Then everyone notices Ellie and even decorates her with lights and things. It shows us that we have to be patient and then soon we will get a chance to shine.

Great book for young children to teach difference between deciduous and evergreen trees. Plus fun craft ideas in the back. Very good teaching tool.
