The time to act is now for the businesses who want to keep their edge, and How to Prepare Now for What’s Next is the guide to continue thriving.
Covers a broad range, and it’s good for dipping your toes into current and coming disruption
While some may not like that this book lacks deep dives into AI or other disruptions specifically, I really appreciated the breadth of what was covered in A Guide to Thriving in an Age of Disruption. It’s organized well and flows neatly from one important, insightful point to another. There were several moments where I needed to pause and consider my own current position, and I found this entire book helpful in creating a thoughtful plan for any moves I might be making.
The resources referenced provide more detail, and those that I fact checked bore out to be true. I feel like this book has information vital to everyone working. It doesn’t matter where you’re working or what position you are in. Any job one can think of, from CEO to front line workers would benefit from this guide. Reading this has given me both insight and new language to describe what’s at play in the org I’m in now, and what to look for if I choose to move to another company or job.
An excellent book to give you an overview of the likely business disruptors on the horizon and how to stay ahead of the game. Michael writes with great clarity in a convivial way from his many years of experience working with businesses and observing generational/technological change.
