Summary: This text gives an overview of the season of fall. Using slightly higher than beginning vocabulary, Fall describes changes and impacts on weather, animals, and plants.
High level of accuracy: specifies "in the northern hemisphere", hurricane season, deciduous trees lose leaves. HOWEVER: "Children start school." is not accurate.

Organization: Table of contents, page numbers, glossary, bibliography: print and web, index
Design: large margins, inset graph, inset map with key, labeled photographs, bold glossary terms
Style: Use of exclamation marks gives the book a slightly conversational tone.

This book covers a wide variety of topics that are observed in the fall and uses many of our senses. I like the real life pictures as well as the diagrams to explain certain parts of the story such as the weather or position of the sun. This also provides examples of activities that people and animals do in the fall. I would use this book when we transition from summer to fall to help the children understand things that they might see or observe.
