Stories have been told on every continent since the dawn of time, and some have lasted for thousands of years, becoming what we know today as myths. *Ton* of information here. Quite a bit that I personally didn't care about but that's because the book has a broad range of myths and monsters to explore. There was a lot that I didn't know about. The accompanying images were fantastic.

Most commonly known myths told here, but not in any new or engaging way. Unfortunately the interchangeable use of country for continent and visa-a-versa. As well when referring to the First Nations peoples it's only correct to capitalise the F and N. Furthermore, it's only fair and correct to refer to original inhabitants as peoples as opposed to tribes and not switch to "Native Americans". While it's true the continents of North and South America can be referred to as the Americas, it's incorrect to use "Native Americans" for simply the north.

Lots of great information and illustrations that tell you about some of the mythical beasts and magical monsters throughout the ages. I liked that it wasn't just Greek gods and First Nation stories, but also stories and creatures throughout the world.

This book is a compilation of many myths, legends and folklore from all around the world. It doesn’t present much use in the classroom, but it would provide a variety of different fantasies for students to read during a fantasy lesson.

I wouldn’t say this is for children of all ages, but it is a nice primer of myths from many cultures. Some stories in here are for a mature reader with a full understanding of the human life cycle and a tolerance for violence…

I enjoyed this book though Greek myths seemed to dominate too much in my opinion.
