It is never a bad thing to read a book set in New Orleans, a city that most find it difficult not to love. Zuri Day’s French Quarter Kisses brings a man “home” to New Orleans over a decade after being displaced following Hurricane Katrina. Intriguing, fresh, and satisfying made this book an entertaining read.

Pierre LeBlanc has never forgotten the city of his heart and returning to New Orleans over a decade after he left, he is excited about opening his own restaurant. Losing his grandmother and

As a New Orleans native, I was so excited to see author Zuri Day set her new novel, French Quarter Kisses, in my hometown. Day handles the love story and trauma of celebrity chef Pierre LeBlanc and journalist Rosalyn Arnaud with a delicate tenderness that romance fans will appreciate. Pierre is the owner of the hottest restaurant in New Orleans and New Orleans Beat reporter Rosalyn is tasked with covering his story. While covering Pierre's journey, he also steals her heart. Can their love ...more

The first book in a new series. Pierre LeBlanc, celebrity chef and restaurant owner comes back home to New Orleans years after being sent away because of Hurricane Katrina. Local Journalist Rosalyn Arnaud is sent to cover him for a newspaper series despite the instant attraction between the two. Rosalyn ends up uncovering something that will send shock waves through the family that wasn't expected.

There were several things I liked about the book. Vivid descriptions were throughout the story

Pierre should have known that Roz would not do what he accused her of. Every step of the way she took his feelings into account. Ma, helped him see that.
Both Pierre and his sister, Lizzy survived and thrived despite the hardships they endured and despite basically being orphans.
This was a great and easy read.

Very good! I especially love how the the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina was incorporated into the story. Pierre, Lisette and Rosalyn were personally affected and how they dealt with it was really touching.

Good read

I love this authors work! However this book made me so mad. I was so angry about the mom and how things were handled I want to call and have a few choice words with her. Zuri Day forced me to feel a ton of emotions with this one.

Nawlins love story

The love of the city of New Orleans was covered well in the story. The aftermath of a national disaster brought together a love story. Pierre and Roz were a perfect match..

Zuri Day is a hopeful romantic. She believes in happy endings, half-full glasses and dreams coming true. That's why she's thrilled to be a contributing writer to this of her favorites!

Zuri doesn't remember exactly how old she was when she picked up her first romance novel, but she does remember it was love at first sight. "It was probably a Harlequin," she recalled during a recent
