Great book for grad students, new school counselors, and experienced school counselors. Trish Hatch is one of my all time favorites. I am a fan of her Hatching Results podcast and this book is a terrific guide for implementing a comprehensive school counseling program grounded in the ASCA National Model. I'm so glad this book was published just in time for my first year as a professional school counselor.

If a school counselor is feeling overwhelmed (or a new counselor is wondering where to start) start here! A practical focus on tier 1, useful strategies, lots of good resources.

The only unfortunate thing is that some of the ASCA model templates are now outdated since the 4th edition came out.

This helped solidify my ideas for Tier 1 counseling lessons. As a previous teacher, there were chapters that weren't as important to me. I got some great ideas on implementation from other chapters though!
