I adored this heartwarming friends to lovers trope book!

The two main character's, Brody and Kate had such a special friendship which blossomed beautifully throughout the duration of the book. It was so refreshing to read about two people with such a close bond to one another without too much drama. Brody and Kate were extremely relatable character's and I found myself laughing along with their jokes, crying with them, and most of all hoping they would both realise and act on their feelings for

This had a good balance of sports, romance, drama, and sexy times. The first part of the book focused on Kate and Brody's friendship and how they both start to develop romantic feelings for each other. I liked the way they interacted, knowing each other so well and sharing grief from Brendan's suicide. Both are in new positions in their careers and trying to do well and succeed. Then once they decide to get together, they both have to get over their pasts so they can move forward together.

I totally loved this book!!

This book is such a fun, exciting read that touches on good times, friendships, and of course love.

This book keeps you totally engaged from page one through the very last page! I honestly had a hard time putting this book down!

I really liked the main characters, Kate and Brody. They were genuine, realistic, and relatable. They were easy to picture as a couple – the ones you’d go to for advice, cheer for, and even want to join for double dates. Plus, their chemistry was

This is a friends to lovers book that is steamy and sweet with low angst. It’s about Kate and Brody who have been friends since they were six. The best of friends. She’s pursuing her career and he’s starting to play in the NFL. She needs a place to stay while she interns for her dream job and moves in with him for three months. Eventually they can no longer deny their mutual attraction. I highly recommend this book to those who like the friends to lovers trope (and even those who don’t).

If I could give this book 10 stars, I would!

I am IN LOVE with Jaqueline's writing style. This book had me laughing and truly thoroughly entertained in a way I haven't been in a while.

Kaye and Brody have a true "best friend" relationship. Reading their banter and how they interacted with each other was pure entertainment. Like, I want to be their third best friend.

Speaking of interactions, seeing how they evolved from "I love him like a brother" to "I love him..." was SO steamy. The slow sizzle t

Take two people with charm and sex appeal, put in a small appartment, shake well, and wait for the sparks to fly!
I admit, I thought this would be just another rom-com, but it's a Terrific rom-com, with lots of witty dialogue and snappy come-backs, angst and dreams - and characters you really get behind and root for. A sweet and sassy friends to lovers romance - Kate and Brody are opposites in everything, but they know each other well. At least, they think they do. Apparently, there are hidden d

Manwhore hero that kept sleeping with other women after discovering he had feelings for heroine. While sleeping around he didn’t want the heroine to be with anyone else. Acted like a jealous boyfriend while he got his on the side.

Heroine was practically a virgin. Was with one guy and it was lackluster. She started out as a strong character, but as soon as she caught feelings she turned into some meek doormat.

Just your typical bull.

This book is definitely for all those girls that grew up with a boy that she always loved. I was certainly one of them and he still holds a special place in my heart. The fact that this book brought those memories back tells me it was a special book. This was a hard book to put down, I genuinely loved reading it.

The voice in Jaqueline’s writing hooked me from page one. I devoured this book and absolutely loved the story. It’s right up my alley with a strong female lead who serves up great lines.
The rest of my weekend will be reading all of Ms. Snowe’s other books.
Highly recommend for all fans of friends to lovers.

Take a Chance On Me is a fast-paced and steamy hot contemporary romance. With a friends-to-lovers trope that sees the characters starting off with a deep platonic love--and really fun friendship--that grows into a passionate one. Her acceptance of Brody, who he is and his lifestyle, makes it easy to see & adore him through her eyes. In return, his unconditional and protective love for Kate makes it a no-brainer that he'll fall in every way, hard. This was my first book by Jaqueline Snowe, and I ...more

Kate and Brody
A great story with a perfect ending!
I loved this funny ( I mean, who thinks of bedazzling their sweat pants!), charming, over-the-top heroine from the first words out of her mouth, and the hero, well he’s just is to die for! And what’s not to love about this story? It’s got it all. An exciting romp through two lives complicated and fun beyond measure with plenty of angst, playful pranks, and moments of reality that zero right in on the difficulties of being human. Not to m

DNF at 33%

I tried. I really tried but I just couldn’t get used to this book. It all started when the MC’s first realized they might have feeling for one another other than friendship and it all just came downhill from there. I decided to DNF after I realized where the story was going but several things had been nagging me, like the fact the hero had sex with other women because he didn’t want to admit his real feelings but constantly nagged the heroine for even talking to other men. I just cring

Great friends to lovers book! Brody and Kate are best friends. There has never been any real attraction to each other, at least none they were willing to see. Kate has an internship and will be staying with Brody through the duration. Things get interesting and confusing while living together. I loved Brody, he was so sweet and pretty much all in. He was supportive and had very few doubts, if any in regards to the blossoming relationship with Kate. He was quite tortured and filled with doubts in ...more

The story moved kind of slowly. I liked the chapters hopping between Katie's head and Brody's head. I like that they've been friends since grade school, and still use their childhood nicknames for each other--she's KV, and he's Grody Brody. When they got into high school and he was the captain of their football team, when people asked her about their friendship she told them she "didn't ride the Brody Pony-" and she gave her reasons--none of which are flattering to the big lug. She moves in with ...more

Genre: NA Contemporary Romance

Kate and Brody are bestfriends since childhood, basically they know each other since forever. Having a crush from each other is a bullshit. But everything change when Kate move to Brody's apartment when she has internship.

I like the way the relationship change in this book, it gradually moves from feeling like a sibling (ew!) to jealousy. Living together as adults means they see each other more than friends.

It tells about a baggage in Brody's life, his la

Good read with a cause

This is one awesome book. The love between Brody and Kate was awesome. The editing, while not perfect, was awesome. The storyline and plots were awesome. Even the supporting characters were awesome! I liked how Brody and Kate navigated their long friendship, dealt with their insecurities, to come out as a stronger couple. Its great that the author did not portray Kate as some girl who dwelled too much on Brody's past with his other relationships and made it into a stumbling

This is a fun and entertaining book with strong characters in Kate and Brody who have been best friends since grade school. They are opposites in every way but so good together. When she needs a place to stay for a few months they figure it's the obvious choice to stay with him. This sets off their story with the author doing a fantastic job painting her scenes with their colorful banter and slowly growing sexual tension. She moves the story fluidly and had me hooked form start to finish reading ...more

What a cute friends to lovers romance! Overall, I enjoyed this book very much. I wish the romance part wasn't as drawn out as it was. For most of the book, it was back and forth about whether or not they should act on their feelings but when they did decide, BOY! did they! I liked how there was a little bit about how Kate was going to deal with the fame of having a boyfriend that was a QB - I wish the author touched on that a little more. I also felt like the ending was a bit rushed but such a s ...more

Take a Chance on Me is a sweet, low angst friends-to-lovers sports romance. Brody and Kate have such a close and special friendship until they move in together and both realise that maybe they want more.

This was a really light, easy read perfect for lazy days at the beach (it's summer here in Australia). I love Jaqueline Snowe's writing style and how easily you can connect with her characters. There was no major drama, just two people working through their issues while coming to terms with their

Take A Chance On Me was a sexy, friends to lovers, sports romance. Kate and Brody were best friends growing up and had never been attracted to each other, but then they moved in together. Once they were roommates, each began seeing the other in a new way. The chemistry between the two was off the charts.

While the book was mostly a lighthearted, easy read, there were some serious moments brought on by the characters dealing with the suicide of Brody’s brother. All in all this was a fun romance th

Wow! A true gem! A well written and edited romance, this story featured two wonderful, honest leads with integrity and caring hearts. It was longer and deeper than most but full of fun banter and a light, positive tone.

Brody was an awesome book boyfriend, and Kate was a special blend of sass, innocence and kindness. I loved every minute I spent with these two best friends! I look forward to reading more by this author.

A sweet and funny from friends-to-lovers romance.
Kate is hilarious and dorky at times and Brody is a, at times, brooding , sexy alpha male jock. they are both always there for one another pushing and encouraging the other to go for what they want. it's no surprise from the beginning these two would end up together but the getting to that point was fun and hilarious. I enjoyed the characters and the story line.

Take a chance on this book. Now. Right now! This friends-to-lovers story is EVERYTHING.

Jaqueline weaves a story with relatable characters who charm and excite you, while feeling all of their feels as they begin to develop the steps toward the HEA we crave from page one! Kate and Brody are absolutely adorable and when the steam factor bursts through the roof... OOOMMMGGG!

This is definitely a MUST READ!

I’m not sure why the book ended so abruptly, right when it was getting good!! The part I read was good but now I’m wondering what happens after the spaghetti dinner, Kate’s 2nd and future days at work and if Brody makes the team!! UGH!!

I received a free review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Loved the fact that Kate and Brody grew up together and were best friends. Trying to keep their relationship platonic and drama once Kate moves in with Brody backfires. Kate and Brody together as a couple was fantastic. Loved how they were open with each other and their banter was a major plus. Fun read.

I really enjoyed the story, watching Kate and Brody figure out they were it for each other. One of the only things bothered me were the inaccuracies in the football portion of the story. Maybe it was because I am such a huge football fan but that pulled me out of the story. But overall it was an adorable friends to lovers read

I enjoyed the characters. The story was good, and easy to relate to. It's so nice to read about such a good cause and the hardships that illness puts on people.

You do need to get your proofreader to do a better job! There are a bunch of things that I found that should have been caught!

Two best friends since they were very young. Now that there adults, they still help each other with life decisions and still tease each other. Kate comes to town for an intern position and Brody offers his spare bedroom. Little did they know that fate was about to interfere with their plans.

Really slow moving. It was hard for me to care too much. But it was exactly what the title said it would be.
There were very few surprises, some minor conflicts that wouldnt change much of anything. KZ has trust issues and Brody is mostly just living his best life.
The brother situation grabbed most of the feels for me. It was a nice angle that always needs to be addressed.
