Daniel McClain divides his time between the boys' ranch and the local hospital, using his gift to heal injuries and take away pain from his patients. He's well used to how his gift works and what the parameters are, but something's shifting, and he's not sure if that's good or bad.
Claire Hudson is looking for a new home. As a chef used to working in five-star restaurants, she's received plenty of accolades for her talents, but something inside her wants more. She gets on her motorcycle to see where the road takes her and ends up at a ranch outside Bagley, Texas - a place where she must confront her past and accept a future that doesn't even seem possible.
Neither expect the changes that are about to take place, but the powers that be have it well in hand.
Amelia C. Adams is a wife, a mother, and a novelist. She spends her days dreaming up stories and her nights writing them down. Her biggest hero is her husband, and you might just see bits and pieces of him as you read her novels.
She loves all things historical and enjoys learning about days gone by, but she's glad she was born more recently (she won't say how recently or not recently) because the Internet is awesome, and she's glad she doesn't have to wash her clothes by hand in a galvanized tub. She has hit Amazon bestseller status twice, once for A Clean Slate and once for A Clear Hope.
. Daniel McClain is the fourth son of a seventh son, who feels an instant connection for Claire Hudson who moved to the small town of Bagley, Texas applying for the position of the chef for the ranchers. This short story depicts their whirlwind romance and her reactions to the family secrets. . The time frame for their romance is a bit unbelievable, but cute anyway. Daniel McClain divides his time between the boys' ranch and the local hospital, using his gift to heal injuries and take away the pain from his patients.
We're just moving forward on this earth with what we've been given, doing our best every day, just like everyone else.
This series has a very intriguing storyline including magic gifts, gentleman cowboys, and destiny. This is in spite of the fact their mama named them alphabetically after the sons on a classical movie. Because of this, I was excited to crack open the pages. Enjoy the legends of the seventh sons of a seventh son, magical gifts, and enough love to raise thirty boys who needed all the attention, discipline, and leadership they can possibly muster.
The characters lacked a certain depth most good novels contain. However, it does contain lots of inspiration and leaves the reader with a warm and fuzzy feeling. I enjoy that most assuredly.
This is a clean and wholesome read (except for some kisses) that is able to stand on its own. I'm interested enough to continue on to learn more about this amazing family structure and the new personal relationships forming for each brother.
I accessed this series at no cost through the Kindle Unlimited Prime program. I greatly appreciated the opportunity to read them.
All of the McClain brothers, heck the entire family is pretty amazing. To go through life with unique gifts, while many people think you’re odd or weird isn’t an easy chore for anyone. Yet this family has managed to do just that… live their life with their gifts and simply do the best they can with the tools at hand. And if that means a little bit of extra knowledge in certain areas, so be it. Yet to be fair it’s not easy to wander onto this ranch and not feel the special gifts of the land, the people and what good they’re all doing for some young men who need their unique touch.
As a medical doctor Daniel has ample opportunities to use his unique gift of healing… without being obvious about it. Yet there is one young man on the ranch who is confounding Daniel with his symptoms. Daniel’s gift is also confusing him a bit because it’s changing and he’s learning how to bring those changes into what he’s up to now done so naturally. Add into this mix the woman that Daniel is to marry one day and it’s easy to see how chaos and uncertainty could arise in everyone.
Claire has left the big city far behind as she looks for a new start somewhere new. Her motorcycle, one suitcase and her talents as an excellent chef are all that she’s bringing into this new life. This boy’s ranch seems just too good to be true. There has to be some muck underneath the surface. Claire isn’t one to trust easily, life taught her that lesson at a too young age. She’s a product of the foster care system herself, and as she settles into her new job she’s wondering what her life might have been if she’d had this type of environment to grow up in. But life is what it is, and now she’s dealing with one man who acted like he hated her on sight only to discover a whole lot more going on here than she could ever have imagined.
Daniel is an enjoyable romance with two main characters who work well together – once we get past Claire’s suspicious mind. Throughout the series we’ve seen what good the brothers’ gifts can do and the toll it can take as well. In Daniel this is brought strongly into the forefront of the story. One young man, Hunter, is obviously in physical distress – the kid’s sick and nothing about his symptoms makes sense to Daniel on either the healer or the doctor side of him So we get a different feel to the responsibility of having unique talents, sometimes we don’t know what to do and we just have to keep trying until we discover the answer. Daniel’s natural frustration was brought out in a believable, realistic way that any reader could relate to. I enjoyed this couple, as well as their unique story.
I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.

Daniel is a doctor. He can diagnose and treat almost everyone but something is wrong with Hunter and Daniel can't seem to figure it out. Claire was a cook, another adult that had grown up in the system. She was sure the fortune that had found her and brought her to the ranch would go away, the job was just too good to be true. Peter knows that Claire is destined to be Daniel's wife. Can she accept the family's gifts as normal and become one with Daniel? Great quick read!
Amelia Adams has struck gold with Daniel the fourth son. Claire really throws Daniel for a loop, but then he's off his dating game. After all, he's not had a date four years. Daniel is the healer and it takes his medical degree and his special gift to bring Claire around. In the mean time, Claire, an awesome cook finds a place to belong on the McClain ranch and in Daniel's heart.
Daniel is a medical doctor with a gift for healing. He knows he is next to get married but just waiting. Claire arriving at the ranch for her interview is amazed at everything. Meeting Daniel for the first time she thinks he hates her. Daniel realizes he has some explaining to do. Sweet romance. I really am enjoying this series.
Another great book by Ms. Adams. Each book in this series is digging deeper on the mistreatment of children, which I appreciate. Daniel has the gift of healing and Claire will fit perfectly in the boys ranch. Claire is adding her special touch to meet the needs of the boys. I can’t wait to read the next book and find out more about the boys...
Daniel and Claire, another match made. This is number four in the series. Part of me is anxious for Ephraim's story (#5), but another is kind of sad cause that will mean there are only two more brothers left. Thoroughly enjoyed this one.
Another new discovery and a little mystery bring more adventure and love into the ranch setting hearts need healing and there is a lot of family love. Sweet story to end a busy day.
Love is the only magic that can handle all the baggage of a shattered heart. Daniel and Claire take the love and laughter and make everyone around them happy and healthy. Wonderful story.
This series is great. The family Dynamics with each son having s special gift is unique. Daniel is a doctor who can actually heal..His bride is a foster child. This story is sad, funny, compelling, and wonderful. I can't wait for the next book.
A beautifully written story with so many memorable characters. This is a sweet romantic story that is clean so everyone can enjoy. A bit magical or maybe fanciful but deliciously so. I love this series.
Sweet romance between Claire and Daniel. Even though some thing concerning the family are still extremely far-fetched, I’m enjoying getting to know the brothers and the new wives. Ephraim and his list of potential nicknames for Claire cracked me up lol
This was beautiful love story with breathtaking and adorable characters who you will definitely fall in love with from the very first page til the very end.
This series is getting better and better! I truly loved Claire and Daniel. Poor Claire has such a troubled past, but with Daniel’s love can heal herself.
A wonderful read. Now I need to go back and read the first books in this series that I missed. It was a wonderful, fast moving story that I read in a day.
