Undercover Wife

Rate this book
Deep cover...as husband and wife!

Playing the part of Gillian Ridgeway's tourist husband might be OMEGA operative Mike Callahan's toughest assignment yet. Keeping his hands off the too-young, too-innocent, stunning novice field agent while they were supposed to act all lovey-dovey? Right. He'd have to rely on all his torture training and focus on their mission: to track down the source of a potentially deadly virus in Hong Kong.

When their job was complicated by pint-sized scam artists who wiggled their way into Mike's heart, Gillian knew her undercover husband wasn't as jaded as he claimed. But to turn their cover into a real-life arrangement, first they'd have to come home alive.

Action and adventure in Hong Kong in this very entertaining romantic suspense story. I loved the setting, in which the author did a great job in describing. The cast of characters were enjoyable and memorable. The two kids, Young Tau and Mei Lin, were so adorably sweet. Such a great book!

Way below my expections, seeing as I've generally enjoyed this category series. Gillian turned out to be nothing more than the kid Mike Callahan thinks she is. All through the book she's either trying to prove she's grown up or fighting her hormones instead keeping her mind on the job.

Such a pity...she showed potential in the earlier books. Undercover wife is also not so much an action romance as the author trying to squeeze in as much of her real-life trip to Hong Kong and peppered with Mandarin phrases (which is odd since Cantonese is the language of Hong Kong despite being part of mainland China now). This was a very poor read, indeed.

I hate to rate this with 1 star, but I didn't like this book.
The heroine insists she's grown up but her action says she's a spoiled brat.
She had crush with the hero and she got an operation as his partner. So she proves him that she's a woman!
So ... what about your mission?

I've been reading this series and I think she is the worst operative of all.
I'm so sorry the legendary Adam Ridgeway & Maggie Sinclair's daughter turns out not to be what we all expected.

This book was an easy read, it just wasn't especially exciting or interesting. Also, I was disturbed by Diana's torture and rape. This was supposed to be a romantic suspense novel and I found that a little heavy for this genre. I want to feel happy, not depressed while reading one of these books.

A really good suspense plot. I enjoyed the glimpse into the villain's mind, one who was slightly sympathic. Gillian and Mike are a good couple and work well together on their mission. I also loved the two little con artists. They were very cute.

I enjoyed this story immensely!! The characters lived up to the hype as they appeared in previous stories and the secondary characters of Mei Lin and Young Tau were endearing. An outstanding read!
