A short but fascinating read! It is the story of eight Christian Egyptians who were former Muslims. The first seven stories were relatively short but the eighth covers over half the book. While they are all interesting stories, the final one was especially captivating. "Paul" tells the story of his struggle as he goes from radical Muslim to Christian. He set out to read the Torah and the Bible to prove their error and uphold the Qur'an. The more he prays to God (Allah) to reveal the truth to him, the more God (Jehovah) answers. Even when he is quite convinced that his Muslim faith is full of errors and the Christian faith must be true, he still fights it and still hates Christians. But the "Hound of Heaven" does not give up on him. His life is radically changed!

The more I read of persecuted Christians in other countries, the more I see how spoiled we American Christians are!

Den of Infidels is a short read but is really good. It gave me a look into the lives of Christians you were Muslims and the struggles they face in changing faiths in the Muslim world.

A heartening testimony of God’s goodness and sovereignty. These our brothers and sisters from Islamic backgrounds have come to know Christ in a vibrant and transformative way. They are blessed to often suffer for His Name sake. We would do well to imitate their faith.

I wanted to love this book. I did not.

It was interesting, and I gleaned some helpful facts, but I felt that the book didn't always present the Gospel clearly, when relating accounts of how people became Christians. It also had quite a few references to visions, which I'm very cautious about. So, overall, the book came away short for me, and failed to live up to the expectations that I had for it.

Well-produced, and well-edited. A compelling and insightful collection of conversion narratives from Islam to Christianity. The final chapter--a poem--is especially compelling, though the person who speaks Arabic would much appreciate the original, or at least a reference to where one can find the unabridged original. The editor (Copeland) has done a fine job, and one wonders why her name is not on the cover of the book. She certainly deserves it. Finally, as a collection of testimonies from Egypt, I object to the fact that the word 'Coptic' is totally absent. How many converts from Islam are there in Egypt who were not influenced somehow by the Copts? This is, at least, a demonstration of evangelical bias, and at worse, a sign of sectarianism and maybe even racism.

How long and difficult the search for truth can be, but praise the Lord, He is faithful and gentle through the struggle.

In this book you'll meet several different Believers in Christ who fought their way free of Islam's bondage and found freedom in Christ. Some give just the most basic of testimonies. While one gentleman lays out a very detailed comparison of Islam and Christianity, the Qur'an and the Bible, and Jesus and Mohamed. It's fascinating to follow the reasoning as the Lord gently leads him salvation.

There are a few references to visions. I don't know what to make of some of them, even those that had the visions didn't know what to make of them.

It's a very encouraging read. How could it not be, people get saved.

An interesting compilation of short essays written by former-Muslims in Egypt who have converted to Christianity. Given that Egypt is a country with quite a few hard-liners, these stories add a valuable perspective.

There were quite a few typos in the Kindle edition, but it was an informative read and a great resource for anyone who witnesses to Muslim audiences.

True stories written in their own words of Muslims who converted to Christianity. While some of them were told more interestingly than others, I appreciated each of these stories and am very thankful to have gotten to glimpse into God's work in these individuals' lives. The last one especially... glory to our Almighty All-Gracious God!

In a very conversational and sincere tone this book relates the testimonies of several Egyptians who found Christ. Most of them came from a Muslim background but it was really interesting to see how different each of their lives were both before and after accepting Christ.

I really liked the stories from Muslim Background Believers. Many were haters of Christians and enemies of Christ and the Bible. But they became convinced in many different ways that Jesus is Lord, Savior, and God. Easy read and worth the time.

Wasn’t a huge fan of the very, very short format of Muslim conversion stories at the beginning of the book. Although so thankful for each and every story. But the bulk of the second half of the book is one story of a radical Muslim who over a period of quite some time is wooed and won by Isa (Christ). His story is one unlike any I have read previously. He lays out many “proofs” for Christ as the true messiah both using the Quran and the Bible. And once he realized this truth, there is a spiritual battle for his soul before he finally comes to know Christ as his savior.

WHAT A GREAT LITTLE BOOK THIS IS. I LOVED THE TESTIMONIES OF THESE FORMER MUSLIMS AND THE STRUGGLES THEY HAD AS THE (TRUE) GOD WAS CALLING THEM INTO HIS MARVELOUS LITE! ESPECIALLY THE MAIN ONE WHO WAS SO DEVOUT AND WANTED TO SERVE GOD (ALLAH) LIKE SO MANY OTHER MUSLIMS, WHO ARE LOST AND BLINDED BY THAT RELIGION. I PRAY MORE OF THEM WILL HAVE THEW SAME KIND IF ENCOUNTER WITH GOD THAT HE DID. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THS BOOK TO EVERYONE.
