Oh so cute and cleverly constructed! A cozy paranormal mystery romance where Marci has been cursed to always have to conform to whatever her “boyfriend” wants her to be. If she catches the eye of a rocker? Tattoos and piercings appear. A country loving dude? Her hair turns blonde and she’s out there in a straw hat riding the fake bull. Any time Marci tries to tell someone about the curse, it comes out as nonsense. She tries hiding from men, but it does no good. Nicholas, a firefighter, comes int ...more

Such a joyful return to the slightly crazy but ever so sweet town of Everlasting. A town that is full of characters each begging to have their stories told because believe me these inhabitants are anything but ordinary. Take for example Marcy who has diligently been going about her business in the background of previous stories and now gets her chance to shine. She's a fun character but has sworn off love. Why ? Well if you believe in curses then you could say that she seems destined to always f ...more

Curses and Cupcakes by Michelle M. Pillow is a quick and entertaining afternoon read. I hadn't read any of the previous books in the series I didn't feel lost while reading this book. I enjoyed meeting the quirky but likable citizens of Everlasting, Maine; and I adored Aunt Polly as she began to unravel Marcy's curse.
I'm intrigued now about this series and will need to go back to read the previous books in the series.

All of you ladies out there remember being a young girl fascinated by fairy tales and princesses. Remember how the solution to every problem was true love's kiss. That kiss is so magical that it can break a curse. I was reminded of my childhood and those wonderful tales today as I read this book. Inside of its pages, I found a young woman cursed to date losers. Not only that but instead of them becoming her idea of prince charming, she became their perfect woman. Can you imagine not being able t ...more

4 Star review of Curses & Cupcakes (The Happily Everlasting Series #6) by Michelle M Pillow

Audio Review:
I have found myself devouring cozy mysteries recently. Having listened to a couple of books by Michelle M Pillow and narrator B.J. Harrison I was looking forward to Curses & Cupcakes.

I found the story and narration entertaining
and easy to listen too. The voices were engaging and certainly brought the story to life.

I Only Have Eyes For You!

Man do I love the folks in Everlasting! Aunt Polly with her craziness, that I really don't think is so crazy, I mean she always manages to remedy the situation and knows when two people are perfect for each other. And let's not forget her pet Herman and Templeton the poor guy, I think he may have found his calling if he can learn to cook.. They are just too much fun

What they don't know about Marcy is that she has a curse since high school and she just can't shake it, or

Everlasting is an interesting place and Marcy has to have the most unique curse - when she falls "in love" she changes to be what he likes best and when they break up, all the changes disappear and no one ever notices.

What I enjoyed:
* Marcy coming into her own and her relief when somebody finally understood about the curse
* Nicolas was a great addition to the town and great for Marcy
* Aunt Polly is fun as usual

What could have been better:

Valerie - Cats Luv Coffee
Marcy has a very interesting curse. Every time she falls for someone, she becomes more of what they want, losing herself. Sure, we've all done that at some point in our early dating lives but Marcy REALLY does. So much so that she loses and gains tattoos, hair color, and styles, clothing styles!! It's not even her own doing either. She's completely at the mercy of the curse to tell her who she'll be. The worst part is no one else can remember any changes and if she tries to tell anyone about the ...more

Curses and Cupcakes by Michelle M Pillow

A paranormal cozy mystery romance from the Everlasting series.
A town of paranormals. Most are still learning either about the paranormal factors in town or about themselves.
Polly is the most fun and wacky. It’s enjoyable finding out more about her with ever book in the series.
This story is about a cursed barista and a hunky fireman.

An entertaining read on the lighter side of paranormal.

Marcy Lewis was unfortunately cursed to have her heart broken over and over, ever since high school. She had a bunch of engagement rings to prove it -- even though her most recent ex of the previous evening had stolen them all when he left her for another woman! The curse was odd in that whatever the man she grew close to wanted in a woman, she became! Artist, rodeo rider, whatever! Not by choice – the curse just made it happen. Once the man broke off the engagement, she reverted back to her nor ...more

This is a wonderfully quirky series by four separate authors, set in a town where nothing is quite what it seems; Everlasting, Maine. It is very cleverly done, with overlapping characters in stand-alone stories, and a few hints which don't turn into spoilers.

The annual Cranberry Festival is over, and the residents of Everlasting are winding down from the tourist invasion and readying themselves for winter. Marcy Lewis is dealing with her curse again, destined to change her appearance, her habits

Heartbreak = Cupcakes
Curses and Cupcakes by Michelle M. Pillow is a wonderful read. I love the town of Everlasting, it would be a great place to spend a vacation.

I like Marcy. She has to deal with some really whacked out stuff. I mean really tattoos that appear and disappear on their own. Crazy. However, Marcy takes all the weird boyfriends, likes and dislikes, wardrobe changes and such with stride. I know she has been doing it for a while. Yet, she seems to keep a positive attitude. Curses and Cupcakes: A Cozy Paranormal Mysterious (The Happily Everlasting Series Book 6)
By Michelle Pillow

The Everlasting Series is an Enchanting, Imaginative series filled with Mystery, Magic, Humor and Romance. The series has several authors who contribute and it is a delight to see how the stories overlap the character, places and overall themes of Everlasting.
Besides making me very hungry for cupcakes, I was thrilled to see this story focused on Marcy, the hardworking talented assistant to

Back to Everlasting for more magical shenanigans.

This series is great a group of stories stolen by various authors centred around the magical mysterious town of Everlasting, Maine. A large percentage of the population are supernaturals of one form of another. Witches own the coffee shop, the fishing tours are fun by a Werewolf, a Werelion owns a local restaurant and a supernatural hunter owns the antiques store and the police force is made up of twelve men who were hired for their good looks and

This is a great book; this is the sixth book in the Happily Everlasting Series written by Michelle Pillow. This is another great book in the series. The stories are getting better and better as the everlasting develops and we get to know the existing characters better and new characters get introduced.
The story features Marcy who we briefly meet in Fooled Around and Spelled In Love (The Happily Everlasting Series, #3). Anna, Jackson and Polly, from the same story, are prominently featured here as well. There are some references to the events from the previous books, so the story reads better if book

Marcie just broke another engagement. By tomorrow she'd be back to the original her. Today she had tats and a piercing. What would her darn curse bring next? She didn't want another boyfriend who changed her. That was the life in Everlasting. Nothing was normal. She'd come here to get rid of her curse. So far no luck. Then a man crossed her path. Hot, firefighter, and a nice normal guy. Well, there was this one thing...

In this sixth novel of the series (The Happily Everlasting Series,) we find Marcy Lewis, manager of the local Witches Brew Coffee Shop, suffering under a terrible curse. Marcy is doomed to failed relationships. Nineteen to be exact. You scoff at my words, curse, but I assure you in the town of Everlasting, curses are a rare but normal occurrence. Luckily for Marcy the coffee shop is owned by a Witch.

However, before she can enlist the witches' aid, Marcy meets the new Fire department hire. Nicho

This was an interesting book to read. I've been doing some paranormal books and this one sounded good and I was right. Marcy works in a coffee shop and does some baking on the side. She has been Cursed to have heartbreak after heartbreak in her life. She knows this but she can't seem to tell anyone what is happening to her.
Everlasting is the town she lives in and it filled with paranormal people along with humans. Marcy is not paranormal. She can't figure out how she got the curse or why. She h

This was a fun twist of a cozy mystery with a dash of magic. Marcy Lewis lives in Everlasting Maine and works at the Witches’ Brew Café. She does not have the best luck with men. Since they are never the right guy for her they all leave her until she meets the fire station’s new employee Nicholas Logan. She enlists the help of her friends to help her break the curse ...more

ARC - I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest!
Marcy is cursed.
She assumes the appearance + characteristics of the "perfect" girlfriend for the current boyfriend.
( and so on and so forth)
Every time is the same thing all over again.
Marcy is really tired of it, and she really would like to find a cure for this curse.
Nicholas is the new firefighter for Everlasting.
When he meets Marcy is cannot believe his luck.
He is totally thunderstruck.

Cute story to continue the series

Marcy is cursed. After a series of broken engagements with many Mr Wrong types, caused by a heads old curse that makes her change into whatever the current flame wants most in a woman, Marcy just wants to be alone! Enter Nicholas, a new firefighter in town.
And what a town! Everlasting is a place where supernatural/paranormal is the norm, accepted and mostly ignored.
This story is a fast read, with interesting characters and a happily ever after. Funny and sweet.

Marcy is cursed, she’s got no idea how it happened, but she’s had nothing but trouble with men ever since high school. After he latest breakup the last thing she’s looking for is another shot at a romance. Nicholas is a new fire fighter in town, putting out fires is his top priority, until he meets the cupcake queen at the local bakery.

Nicholas’s skill of seeing ghosts and Marcy’s curse combine to create a lovely tale of romance. I felt strongly for Marcy, who didn’t even know her true self, bec

If I’d Known You Were Coming, I’d Have Baked You a (Cup)cake

In a small town chock full of magical misfits, hunky Firefighter Nick makes his appearance as the potentially the latest in a string of Holly’s cursed boyfriends. The Boyfriend Curse and the Arson Mystery turn out to be related and Holly’s road to romantic recovery is a joy to follow. Secondary characters are well-drawn and there is an element of whimsy and humor throughout (think dancing Lobster). Everlasting, Maine is definitely worth
