Murderous Greed is one of those books that will keep you up late at night. What starts out as simple accidents, turns out to be well-planned, deceptively thought out murders. This is a book with twists and turns and heart-racing confessions. This is a book about greed and the consequences it can lead to. Let me start with the characters first.

The main characters of this book are Satyajit and Drishti. Satyajit is the Police Inspect

Greed comes in different forms as some people may have it for money and others for power. Can someone have the greed to kill for just fulfilling certain motives?
‘Murderous greed’ by Mr. Arun K. Nair is the first book in series. The story starts with the cash snatching incident followed by two murders within a short span of few minutes. Murderous greed

The story and the plot are interesting and the title totally gives the idea of the theme of the novel. Also, the cover of the novel in bright red color resonates with the theme and can attract readers.

It is a fast-paced crime thriller with the use of simple language. So if you are looking for a simple crime thriller novel, this is an ideal choice. This book can keep readers hooked till the end with all its twists and turns which keep the novel interesting until the end.

In the relatively calm township of Avadi in the outskirts of Chennai, Inspector Satyajit is suddenly confronted by twin murders. Both have a common connect, while one was a chain snatching of a lady gone wrong, the other was a shooting incident of an emerging businessman, both carried out by bikers with unidentified plates.

Inspector Satyajit starts investigating and the murder of the businessman, Karthik, leads him to some murky dealings.

The book goes well, and abruptly stops, and the modus ope

The riskiest thing you can do is get greedy. The story "Murderous Greed" by Arun Nair evolves around this above quote. The story took me to a small town, Avadi in Chennai. The description of the town was good however it could be better. The story is no less than a movie which has twists and turns good enough to raise and hold the excitement of the reader. The case is way deeper than it looks in the beginning. The story is an amazing concoction of love, hatred, revenge, conspiracy and of course g ...more

One time read. Good concept

I congratulate author for his research and penning down the story in his known place. It's a page Turner but it could be better, if the author tried a little bit more work on this.
Anyway you will not disappointed by reading it.

Mystery is liked by almost everyone. There are some popular novels on crime and thriller which will make your heart go fast and breath heavy. My latest read, "Murderous greed" is a book that will make you fall in love with this particular category, mystery -crime and thriller.

"Murderous greed" start with a light narration of the city Avadi and few necklace stealing incidents . It's a story of three police officers trying to solve two cases. One is the death of a lady who was going to attend a ma

I absolutely loved the suspense and the way the protagonist approached the case.

But above all, I was surprised to read about the city Avadi in Tamil Nadu. The writer has described it pin-pointedly.

I look forward to reading more books from the author.

Indeed Murderous Greed is a very interesting and appropriate title for the book. We all know that Dialogues must appear as natural as if coming from effortless writing. It must not sweat. The beloved readers must not sweat. But here the author is literally sweating, because her characters are literally talking fishy in a steamy sweaty and bloody scene. The combination of the suspense and the chillness are very vividly described throughout the plot. When you read the account of a murder

Crime Fiction is one of my favourites genre to read. I can read books falling under this genre in no time. In my reading years, after reading both classics and contemporary crime fiction novels, I have concluded that a good crime fiction is written with variant in its narrative pace. Not only it keeps the reader driving forward, continue the guess work, but it eliminates the possibility of having dragg

Reading crime novels by debut Indian authors is a great feeling considering all of them are inspired by the successful Western authors but yet try to carve their own path with a unique story. Arun K Nair has also entered the world of literature with a book based on crime thriller where a set of policemen are trying to figure out the murderers of the two cases that takes places within few minutes. The book is of about 200-pages which I feel is quite applaudable considering how few stories are wri ...more

Greed is the root cause of all unhappiness. The rest that follows it such as Wealth, Power are just secondary. But as the saying goes, what goes around, comes around. Karma always prevails and the guilty are always punished.

'Murderous greed' is a story involving two gruesome murders in the quaint village of Avadi, in Tamilnadu. Avadi village, which is known to have one of the lowest crime rates in the state, witnessed two shocking murders in a single day. Kanaga, a middle aged lady who was on he

Murderous Greed is written by Arun K Nair.

About the title and cover
The title is extremely "dangerous" we can say. It instantly drives our attention towards it and we become curious about the story and so is the cover, with the black and red colour dominating the cover, it gives a sense of something dangerous and mysterious. The font size is legible and makes an easy read.
Both justified the story well.

The first thing that struck me about Murderous Greed was something I saw on the back cover. It was two, rolled dollar notes with smoking rising from them as if they were being used as cigarettes. But they weren’t really burning. This had me intrigued as this isn’t something you see on book covers.

The book starts at a good pace, with a lot of new characters being introduced and two murders within the first 10 pages, both seemingly unrelated. There seem to be a lot of protagonists in the story wi

A Nail-Biting Finish!

'Behind every great fortune there is a crime.' This quote from Mario Puzo's masterpiece could very well be related to the thrilling murder mystery- Murderous Greed by Arun K Nair.

As aptly described by the title, 'Greed' is at the centre of this whodunit plot. The story unfolds in the town of Adani, where two seemingly unrelated killings rattle the residents of this place. A woman was on her way to a wedding. She falls victims to a chain snatcher. Kartik, a budding businessma

It is difficult to write crime and thriller because maintaining interest of the readers is a big task. The pace of the story should not be extremely fast to make the events unclear and confusing to the readers. It should not be extremely slow otherwise the readers are bound to lose their interest. It should have a perfect amount of twists and turns otherwise the entire story will become twisted and confusing. I am glad that I picked up this book and it was a good attempt by the author.

Mr Arun K Nair has thought of a great will and imagination to complete the crime thriller book and grabs the attention of the reader in the most amazing way. The cover of the book strains the brain storming in a peculiar way.
