This was a fun and interesting book!! It was entertaining and wonderfully written! I am always drawn to books with witches in them! And fairies are a definite plus! I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

I’m not going to lie. The beginning of this book was a bit rough, you just get thrown into the world of Meridian, her family and friends and have to figure out what is what and who is who. The world seems massive, confusing and new. On top there are so, so many characters that I can see why people quit.

That being said I’m glad I stuck to it. It does get better

At the beginning, it was kind of confusing. Remember, this is for YA. As I moved along, I knew it would get better. I was in for a ride. I was NOT disappointed.

This is about a young teen who's discovering about herself and who her parents really are after an incident that happened. This all came about when

What a very fun and interesting book! This book has lots of great characters and sooo many other things I like about it. Spirit Guide, Fairy realm, Witches, Demons and so much more! This book had soo much to offer me. I loved the characters, but the humor in this book was great. I enjoyed the quirkiness to the characters that, to me, made them more relatable. There was a love story in these pages, story, triangle, (tomato, tomahto) right? I enjoyed this book! *This book was given to me for free ...more

I was able to read this book before the author had to take it down. I was really impressed with the story. It was a breath of fresh air of paranormal, romance, and age old beings, myths, and legends. Complete with plenty of inner conflict of the characters, and some nice corruption from the leaders in the realm which always interest me. I loved how even though it is a paranormal store the paranormal portion is not the main focus of the book. the characters are, and what is happening with them ...more

I won this book through the Goodreads Giveaway and I's sad to say I could only read 25% into this one. It's just not holding my attention, there are a lot of typos, and the characters aren't developed enough for me, which makes it hard for me to really care about them very much. The other thing that is making this a difficult read is the structure of the worlds within it. The rules feel weird and I keep trying to figure out the dynamics of it all. ...more

Wow what an amazing fantasy tale of fairies at their best and not so best. Once started, you totally get lost in the story and once you’re at the end, want more.

This was a great story! I loved all the characters and the way MD Fryson created the whole world. This is one of the best fantasy books I've read in a long time. It was a completely enjoyable escape from reality. I can't wait to read the next one!! ...more

I really enjoyed reading this book, I started it and just kept reading till done. Characters you can relate to,or love, and for balance, some you can hate. You'll forget it's a fantasy as it pulls you in and wraps you in the adventure, and holds you tight. The ending will leave you wanting more. I got this book free by my request, and provided this voluntary review. ...more

There were several aspects if this book I thoroughly enjoyed, and the overall premise of it is fantastic! It did take me a while to get “into” this book, but once I got used to the writing style it was enjoyable.

I enjoyed this book. The pacing at the beginning was a little slow, but the story was very memorable! I took away a star because it was hard to get into in the beginning and there were parts that the book slowed down and I felt like I had to force through. I really enjoyed the read and all the surprises and can't wait to pick up the rest of the series! (view spoiler) ...more

I received an ARC of this from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

So I should probably apologize upfront because it kills me to give harsh reviews of books. I don't like to do it but this novel was an epic let down for me.

The good news: It was such a great idea for a novel

The bad news: The execution was terrible.

I was unbelievably frustrated reading this but I was also determined to finish it. And finish it I did. Do I want to read anything else from this series? Initi

Beautiful cover. A teen fantasy story of fairies, spirit guides, different time frames and realms. There is a lot going on and I think the book could have benefited from a little more back story. The writing style was just not for me but definitely has potential. The book was most enjoyable when portraying a relationship or potential relationship between the young characters, there was a thread of teen romance all through out the book and this is where the writing was most successful.  The endin ...more

This book was not what I expected. It just felt weird somehow, there are too many charcters in it so it was hard to follow and the the writing style felt off. I just couln’d get used to it. Usually I very much like young adult books but this is not for me.
The plot seemed interesting enough and has fairies in it but I couldn’t finish the book.

I found the beginning of the book a tad confusing, as you are thrown straight into the lives of the characters and it took a bit to work things out. Having said that, I am glad that I continued reading, it does get better. I found it to be an interesting read. I am looking forward to reading the other books in this series.

This book sounded interesting, but it did not get me involved the way I wanted it to. There was a lot of dialogue and chance for character development. Unfortunately, I think an unrefined writing style held it back.

No, just no. There are so many good Fantasy books out there, and this is as far as you can get from greatness without being written in crayon.

I liked the world building and always enjoy books with fairies and witches. What hurt was the writing style plus the feeling that this book could have been more enjoyable with better editing.

The premise illuded to an intriguing story, however I found this book frustrating. The writing style was offputting akin to what I would expect for a young audience, though the plot was an adult concept. Unfortunately this spoiled what could have been an exceptional tale.

My series is fantasy paranormal and the characters are actually inspired by real people.
Personally, I am a wife and mom to three boys. I am an animal lover especially horses that I used to ride, train and show. Someday will do once more!
