Aftershock is a companion novel to the Eye of the Storm series and also acts as a PREQUEL to a brand new series to come. You don't have to read Eye of the Storm to enjoy this novel (some background is given). However, we always recommend you do in order to gain full understanding of how the characters have arrived at this point.

Dianna Hardy is such a skilled and wonderful writer. I know that I have said this in pretty much every review I have ever written for one of her books, but time and time again I feel it just needs to be pointed out. Every time I hear she is writing something new I get excited because I just love her stories; her characters are relatable, her world-building is insanely cool and her words are beautiful; the way she describes emotions... I’m never worried when I pick one of her books up because I a ...more

Big fan of this author so the anticipation for Aftershock has been even bigger. Her talent for writing is simply exceptional.

For the sake of their daughter's safety, Claire and Pete have distanced themselves from their previous lives in more ways than one. With the impending blood moon but also outside forces, it seems their worries were justified and the lengths they have gone to were warranted. Unfortunately whilst settling down for the benefit of Jasmine they have become somewhat complacent.

The two previous series written by this author collide in a powerful explosion of epic proportions! The original lore and beauty of her characters and world draw you in, holding you hostage until the final page. The surprises keep you guessing and fearing for a young girl and her parents. I felt like I was in every scene with Dianna Hardy’s vivid storytelling. I dare you to plunge into this world and discover the savage beauty of werewolves and other things that go bump in the night.

This story is the second book in a new companion novel to the Eye of the Storm series. I loved it! You don't have to read the Eye of the Storm series to read this book, but I recommend that you do, so you have a good grasp of where Claire, Peter, and Jasmine are heading.

Claire (aka Beth from the Eye of the Storm series) now has a new identity. I loved her as Beth, but I think I love her more as Claire. She loved her best friend, Sarah. But when she died in a car accident while pregnant, Claire t

The Eye of The Storm series and The Witching Pen series are both connected in this novel - you don’t have to have read them though, in order to understand what’s going on in this series. I’d recommend them anyway, just because they’re really good!!
Claire and Pete take Jasmine to the US to avoid the dangers of those who would do her harm in the U.K. To all intents and purposes, Claire and Pete ARE Jasmine’s parents, even though she is actually the daughter of Claire’s best friend, Beth, and her l

Aftershock is the second book in the Blood Never Lies duet. It is also a lead in for a brand new series which will tie together The Witching Pen series and the Eye of the Storm series. Both of which were amazing series and this story lived up to the expectations I had. The way Dianna has written this story you don’t need to have read either of the previous series to enjoy this but you might get a little extra out of it like I did if you do. Trust me you won’t be disappointed!

I'm a huge fan of Dianna Hardy's Witching Pen and Eye of the Storm series, (all of Hardys writing really) so when I heard Aftershock was going to be a crossover between the two series I couldn't wait to see what might happen. I wasn't disappointed, I love every page turning minute of it. If you are a fan of magic, supernatural beings, drama and intrigue I can not recommend this book enough. I'm very excited to see where these stories go in the future.

I knew without doubt that I would love this book .
Dianna never disappoints me but always amazes me! I absolutely love this book and is one of my new favourites. I love the fact Dianna has merged to series together and you don't even have to read them to follow this story . Although I would highly recommend you do because they are fantastic. I'm looking forward to the next book as I always do . I'm always entered into another world whilst reading her books they grab you in and you really don't w
