An Intriguing, Emotionally Secure Power Play Romance...
As I've mentioned in an earlier review, I've been on a bit of a Penny Wylder kick this month. She is my go-to taboo queen when things get a bit mundane and I need something quick and hot as sin to brighten my world a tad. And I'm sure you will agree, 2020 can use every ounce of brightening we can find!
Wylder almost never disappoints, and "Dating My Friend's Daughter" is no exception. The tantalizing story of Michael and Cora, Michael being the thirty-five year old billionaire business mogul. A man driven by his desire to make the company he cofounded with his best friend as successful as it can be. And Cora, the twenty year old college senior and computer science major. A fiery, passionate woman brought on as an intern by her father, who unbeknownst to Michael, just so happens to be his best friend and business partner. What follows is a delicious delve into the world of corporate hijinks, sabotage, gorgeously sexy dialogue, and a tiny tantalizing taste of sadomasochism.
This one will grab you by the panties and thrust you forward at almost break neck speed into a magnetic atmosphere of roleplay and bedroom banter. Here Wylder pens a wildly frenetic story full of wonderfully strong, emotionally intelligent, and independent characters. Characters that will both enthrall you and keep you on the edge of your seat with their deliciously biting give and take.
My only complaint, I wish is was a bit longer and the s/m aspect fleshed out more. The underlying dynamic between Michael and Cora is fascinating and sexy as hell, I would have loved to have had it explored in more detail, especially near the end. Regardless of this aspect, it is another great addition by Wylder to her growing list of yumminess.
