I love a good historical fiction, and this one was very interesting. Johnson pens a good story, and it brings to life the lives of the characters from a point in time where not everything was grand. From Ireland to North American, the times were a struggle and also part of new discoveries. The hard subject of the slave trade and how it moves the reader, and the author. You can almost feel the depth of the author's words on the page, what is written and what is unwritten. The Watchman'

After reading Origin by Craig Johnson, I knew The Watchman`s Grace was a must
for my novels to purchase list. I am so happy to have done so! He has a mastery for emotional
imagery and memorable characters which stay on your mind. This author is a gem of
undiscovered talent.

A rollicking historical tale spanning several continents. Engaging with detailed character development and historical detail. An impressive first novel that will take you away to other times and places.

A sweeping saga that's impossible to put down! Mr. Johnson weaves an impressive tale of hope, love, redemption and the strength of the human spirit. A gem!

I found this novel to be a fascinating read. The characters and plot were well developed. The pace and plot twists were remarkable. I highly recommend this novel as a unique experience.
