This book has good concepts, but they're poorly woven together. It's like a first draft where you're trying to figure out where all of the strands of the story should go and then you realize you don't have something to tie it off with.
My biggest problem is with the main character's arc. Or arcs? She becomes engaged to a king at the start, and I think the book wants me to believe that she's good queen material, but... she doesn't actually do *anything* to prepare for her imminent queen-hood. She ...more

Ok, this is just a a “quickie” review as I’m in an endless business trip and don’t have the time to do better even though the book definitely deserves it.
Bottom line: five stars. I adored A School for Dragons and A War fit Dragons, the first two Cavernus Trlogy books but somehow this book 3, A Hero for Dragons, is even better. It’s, quite frankly, the perfect ending for a fantastic series and most definitely recommended. It had just what I wanted and was well written and with a great plot and gr ...more

I loved the last two books and this one just blew it further out of the park! It was wonderful! Full of adventure, character building, and tense moments that made me just want to squirm while reading. I loved this series and I know that many middle grade readers will enjoy as well. I highly recommend for your kids or any kids you know, or if you're like me any people who are young at heart! The characters have ...more

An excellent conclusion to the trilogy of the Cavernis world. It is well written with excellent characters and an exciting book to read full of dragons, magical creatures and plenty of action. I hope the author will write more stories with these characters in this world as I will miss Eli, Mattie and all their friends. A Hero For Dragons by Amy Wolf is the conclusion of The Cavernis Trilogy. This exciting book is an entertaining read. Join Mattie, Eli, and Artorius one last time for a story packed with humor, action, romance, mystery and danger. A fun series and I'm sad to say goodbye to these characters but happy with the ending. I'm voluntarily reviewing an ARC copy of this book.

An epic conclusion! Emotional drama, plot points I wasn’t expecting, and general hilarious moments! 5 stars.
