Do author's behaviors deter you or encourage you from reading their work?
I've been shocked in the past by some author's behavior. Some "big" authors I loved and respected truly attacked some fellow author and I was speechless. I confess that I will either stop to read their work, either my read will be tainted.
How can you write and speak about love and support when you don't follow what you write?
But today I want to share something really positive with you.

You take an angelic looking author, her halo almost shined to perfection, add in an idyllic setting of Gibraltar, a peaceful haven on earth, lush mountainside, cows grazing, seagulls cawking and peaceful Mediterranean sea, and what does she write...... A twisted AF story about a sexy siren who Fucks anybody with two legs! Sometimes I worry for Jaimie and her filthy brain *smh*. The woman can barely whisper aloud and she creates a Screaming Red Scarlet ...omg, how does she do that ?!!?!!

This review is literally my emotions because to experience how brilliantly this is written you’ve got to go all in for yourself 👌
Well Jaimie Roberts’s I didn’t think you’d pull it off after Siren 🚨
I was so nervous when this book came around.
But the way you have written this and all the little details wow I was literally hooked. I don’t think I’ve ever a book 2 as good as this.
Twisty as fk
Angsty
Mind blowing
And funny as hell (yes my black heart 🖤 thought it was funny)

I loved Siren. It was dark, twisted as hell with a fabulous ending. So imagine my surprise when I saw that there’s a sequel. I dived in cause color me intrigued. My Valentine was a let down I’m sad to say. It wasn’t dark and I expected some twisted or f...ed up scenes because Siren definitely had a lot of those but they just didn’t happen or maybe they did. I just couldn’t see them or Siren had just set the bar to high. The plot and story was predictable right off the bat and I felt the story we

WOW! What a hell of a ride I have been on reading My Valentine.
YES before you even think about this book you MUST have read Siren first or you will not fully understand this one.
I really am struggling to put into words how good this sequel to Siren is.

Literally my face while reading this book:

Honestly, I think the author tried too hard to make this story over the top and it just didn't make sense in my opinion.

Absolutely bloody brilliant !!! The talent this author has is out of this world! She keeps you guessing and bringing you through so many intense scenes! Scenes that you think "Hmm I should not be turned on right now ,but I totally am"! I couldn't wait for more Scarlett! She came back ready to destroy! Everything in this book was so carefully put together and planned out that I loved reading every word! 5 amazingly blazing stars for this book! All I can say is buy it! Read it!! Ahhh you'll love i

Wow! I couldn't put the book down until it ended. Amazing read!
I absolutely fell in love with Siren and was shocked when I heard My Valentine (Siren #2) was coming out. I was curious to see how Scarlet would plan her revenge. I should of known Scarlet would be back in full force and boy is she EVER!!! There we're times I even felt bad for Reid LOL. My Valentine (Siren #2)
By: Jaimie Roberts
4.5 Stars
Before reading this book, please make sure you’ve read Siren first.
Finishing Siren (Book #1), I had no idea how this book was going to play out. But typical Jaimie Roberts style, its done in a way that is well thought out and executed nicely. Well not so nicely but you get it…
Reid/Reece is away from it all running his bar/sex club. But one thing he can’t get over is how Scarlet is forever in his mind. Messing with him day in and day out. Causin ...more

Unputdownable! Dark and devious!
A sequel to Siren? YES PLEASE! From the start I was pulled into the story. I was intrigued and couldn’t read fast enough. The pacing is good. The author slowly builds suspense and will have you on the edge of your seat. Let’s talk about those hot scenes. Like forbidden fruit. You’re not supposed to like it but you do anyway. Not sorry! As the plot unfolds, my suspicions are proven right and that ending…..WOW!! I am not disappointed.

Holy mother of dragons!
The author has done it again with this hot gritty, dark read!
My Valentine is not a standalone and in order for you to understand and appreciate this story you must read Siren first. In Siren, I described it as dark, twisted and explosive.
Well, fasten your seat belts because this one is even darker, more explosive and more twisted!

After reading ‘Siren’ I didn’t know if there would be another book. So when I heard about ‘My Valentine’ I was so excited. This book was everything I was expecting and more...SO BLOODY GOOD!
Now this book, like ‘Siren’ does come with a WARNING ⚠️ If you love dark and twisted, I highly recommend. It is NOT for the faint hearted. It is a VERY DARK story with so my twists, you won’t have a clue what’s coming next. It is a revenge of epic proportions. That will completely blow your mind.

I liked Reid in book one and I continued to like him in this book. And yes he made mistakes, great big dirty ones in fact, but I just had zero sympathy for Scarlet. I felt her actions to be childish and vindictive despite what she went through.
Reid's behaviour, although pretty despicable in the first book, I do believe (and because this is fiction and not real life) that Scarlet, dare I say, brought it on herself. Reid's actions weren't pre- meditated, which is exactly where Scarlet went wrong ...more

I'm not sure how I feel about this one...? I LOVED Siren and in a way, I enjoyed this too, kinks, taboos, and all, but I feel like 'Siren' ended perfectly and with this one, the novelty just completely wore off. It also feels like a lot of the stuff and twists that happened here were only done for shock value. At some point, the relationships of who hooked up with who got so ridiculous that it was bordering on self parody. By that point, I'm not disturbed anymore. I'm just amused and trying to s

I'm not convinced that any review I could possibly give this book would explain just how fantastic it truly is. I was completely hooked from the very first to the very last word. I had so many emotions while reading that I actually questioned my own thoughts because I felt things and reacted to things in a way that most would think was a little odd at the very least.

Wow I thought I wouldn't like this book as much as the first book.. I was so wrong. I was excited to read this book but also afraid I wouldn't like like this book.. Jaimie never falls to write a amazing 2nd book that will have you hooked from the first page tell the very ending. Read the first book first before or your you will not understand this book and keep up with the twists and turns.. this is a must read book..

Well.... How do I begin... The book is everything... I loved Scarlet in Siren and was soo happy, so excited by learning that Siren will have the second part, My Valentine... As Siren was dark, too dark, twisted, sometimes even hard to read because of it's themes, I knew that My Valentine would be even darker, but... FIrst book has it all.. love, sex, murderer, villain, actually lots of villains.... I loved Scarlet, cried for her when knowing her story, her path. I was shocked and heartbroken at

Very good
These two books were awesome. These are the two books with the most unique storylines I've ever read. I think a lot of authors shy away from writing female characters who aren't always likeable, but I adore that Ms. Roberts did. All that being said, I think the series should have ended with the first book. I felt it was a fitting ending. I don't like how scarlet felt towards Stuart and david in this book. It felt forced and not natural for the character. I almost gave 4 stars because of ...more

The HEA
So I loved this sequel, I recommend it and enjoyed it immensely. Spoiler ahead >>>
So this is a revenge plot 100% with a HEA for our beloved Scarlet, now with that said yes Siren had a perfect ending, but for those who where left wanting more from the story, from the characters, then this is the book for you.
I myself enjoyed the first and this conclusion was a perfect addition.

I was surprised when a second book came out. I thought the way the first book ended it was it, so imagine my surprise when Scarlet wasn't dead. Like watching Dallas and we find out Bobby didn't die it was a bad dream???? Really???? Scarlet wants her revenge on Reid/Reece. OK but for me after a while it got a little old for me. She wan't to drive him insane. It was still a good read and I really like this author and this is a 4 star read.

First, let me just say that I actually screamed when I saw there was a follow-up to Siren.
I'm a Kindle Unlimited user and that's how I learned of Siren in the first place. Siren's ending left me waking my husband up at 1Am with a "ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?!?!?!?!"
That being said, I read the first chapter and went, "Is this really gonna be all about Reid?"
Second chapter released some of my reservation.
And then... it all sort of fell apart.
