Life wasn’t fair…and I’d learned that on far too many occasions.

Arbor Kenton had one goal, to flee the toxicity of her hometown. She’d thrown a dart at a map and decided wherever it landed she would move without hesitation.

One night was all she had left before she’d hit the road and never look back. But little did she know just how life altering that night would be.

I enjoyed the story and I felt there was a lot of potential for it but I just couldn’t connect with the main characters. I struggled to finish it. About 3/4 of the way through I wanted to find out what happened so I stuck with it. That’s the reason I’m giving it 3 stars. I loved the interaction of Arbor and Emily and their friendship but the other connections did not seem genuine to me. And some of the reactions to events in the book by the characters did not seem realistic. The premise of the ...more

If Love Was Fair was a heartwarming second chance romance.

When we first meet up with Arbor, she wants nothing more than to leave the small town life behind her. On her last night in town, she meets the handsome Colin an

The concept of If Love Was Fair was good, but I didn't feel that the execution of the story made it a gripping, stays-with-you read for me. I just didn't feel the instalove between Colin and Arbor, and the time jumps in the story were a bit disjointed at times.

That said, I enjoyed the second chance romance aspect, and how the one night they spent together left such a mark on both Arbor and Colin. When they were with one another, I got all the feels. But I wanted more from her time away from Coli

Such a beautifully written story about second chance at love..and happiness. This story begins with a heartbreaking event that you will find out about later in the book, but you get the idea that this moment will be life changing for Arbor. Her plans are to leave behind her hometown, but before she does she goes to a bar and listens to the handsome man playing guitar and singing. She's dumbstruck as his eyes latch onto hers. Their meeting later is the moment that catapults her life into barrage ...more

I thought that the idea behind the story was sound and for the most part I was swept along with what the author had to say but there were times when I could feel myself drifting, I didn’t feel as if I could completely buy into the chemistry between Colin and Arbor and although it wasn’t a make or break issue it was a niggle that for me (and I do mean it was a purely personal thing) I found distracting at times.
I liked Arbor and I was totally enamoured by the quality and quantity of detail that t

You know when you read the first couple pages of a book and you know right off that it's going to be phenomenal? If Love Was Fair totally took me by surprise and is one of my favorite reads for this year.

I instantly connected with Arbor, the main heroine in the story. Through the author's beautifully detailed writing, I was able to feel every ounce of her pain, her sadness, and her emotions. I'm not sure I've ever felt such closeness to a character before. I truly felt that I was right there wit

Savannah Stewart wrote a beautiful second chance love story. This book will make you cry, laugh and fall in love. I was hooked from page one to the very end. Colin Banks and Arbor Kent could have the most magical love story; but they have many obstacles in their way when she moves away. This was a very light and romantic read, just captivating the way they fell in love with each other. I love how the characters are there for each other through out the book.

Oh my goodness, what a great Second chance romance.

This story is just heartwarming and such a sweet read even through such heartbreak.

This story is about a girl running away only to find her way home again. I just loved every moment of it.

Savannah Stewart has a way of bringing her country charm but sass to every story she writes and this one did not miss it's mark.

I loved how Arbor girlfriend Emily is just as important in the story. We all need our tribe and Arbor begins to find hers with Emi

This book definitely tugged on my heartstrings. I loved every word written. Arbor's journey was heartbreaking but oh so satisfying at the end. I loved the antics she has with her best friend Emily. But most of all, I loved that Colin and her were meant to be together from the very first moments their eyes locked. The tragedy that she faced and came to terms with is something I could never imagine. Arbor and Colin were able to find their happy ending by accepting the others cho

4.5- This is the first book that I have read by Savannah Stewart and she is an amazing author. I really thought that this was a well written second chance romance. What happens when your life takes you on a specific path and then one day you almost wish the path was different. When Arbor wants to get out of her hometown she doesn't realize that her life will change before she even can leave. Will happiness be within her grasp finally or will she have to settle for what she has? Thank you for all ...more

Sometimes heartaches are worth it

This was the first book I've read from this author. This story was good, I wouldn't mind reading more from her.
For me the premise was really good, but the execution falls short. I found that I enjoyed this concept and would have loved to see it. But we were just told how things were going, which I found annoying. The only relationship I actually really felt stuff over was Arbor's friendships lol

I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily reviewing.

I just love Savannah Stewart’s writing. I feel like she writes characters that you can relate to. While they are generally fast paced, it is packed full of scenarios that will hit you straight in the heart. I loved the banter and dialogue between the characters, as well as the friendships that formed throughout the book. There were parts that made me laugh, parts that made me swoon, and parts that made my eyes so sweaty I had to look away for a moment or two. If you like fast paced and need a qu ...more

I enjoyed this book from Savannah Stewart. It is a second chance romance.

It is heartwarming and was a quick read.

At one point I was like NOOOO I wanted to shake the ever loving heck out of Arbor. She totally made up for it though ;) The characters are after all flawed in their own ways.

Fantastic book. It was heart wrenching, funny, loving, sad and thoughtful all rolled into one. This was my first book by Savannah Stewart and I loved every minute of it. The characters are flawed almost to a fault, but the secondary characters really make this story pop. There are hateful family members, a bad boss, and a love fulfilled. This story is told only in Arbors POV.

4 stars

This story started out with such promise of Arbor and Colin. There meeting, a foreboding flashback, glimpses of the future, and the hint of the reintroduction into each other's life. Then bam, everything happened at once and the story was not the same. It seemed rushed. It had the promise of a great story up until they met again. It was as if the author was forcing the words/story. It wraps everything up in a pretty package but still it left me unsatisfied and disappointed.
