"Do you want to live in a world that has no imagination and no dreams in it? Where everyone just lived but had no reason to?"* * * * *Phantasmagoria...where all the forgotten dreams go, where all the imagined things, both good and bad, make their home. Tom and his friends would much rather be on a bike ride than trying to navigate their own imaginations. But, with most of humanity frozen by Morgrim, their school librarian's bitter half-brother, their options were limited. It was either...Go to Phantasmagoria and search for the artifacts Morgrim Ripped from Earth so they can restore the balance between the worlds before both are destroyed...Or stay in Cedarville, Minnesota with their frozen families and friends, wondering if they'd be next in line to be turned into human popsicles.Guess the bike ride will have to wait...Join Tom, Katie, Chad, Melissa, and Sharice as they adventure through Phantasmagoria, encountering everything from long-winded trolls to upside-down rivers, on their search for three artifacts...before time runs out.* * * * *“The Book of Imagination (Phantasmic Wars), has everything a young reader needs to spark their vibrant imagination.”~Readers’ Favorite“…the world is wonderfully crafted to create a place like no other and I strongly advise you to visit.”~Amazon Review“This is a fantastic introduction to the series and a great book for parents to read with their young children or for young teenagers looking to dive into fantasy.”~Amazon Review“I'm willing to bet each reader will see a bit of themselves in at least one of the characters.”~Amazon Review

I quickly got lost in the world of imagination.

Five kids need to travel from their home to a magic land so that both worlds will be saved. A fun and engaging story full of surprises as the children accomplish the first task. They learn and grow as they tackle each challenge and make unusual friends.

I found this to be a quick & delightful read 📚 (I devoured in under 24 hours) ! It has been sitting in my TBR pile for almost a year since learning of the series, & I can not wait to read more of this series & the other titles by El Holly on my shelf.

These kids are going places.

El Holly creates a world where dreams come true in The Book of Imagination.

Friends - Sharice, Melissa, Katie, Chad, and Tom - find themselves transported to Phantasmagoria where they must complete a quest to save two worlds. Together they face fantastic creatures, upside-down waterfalls, a dragon, and world where not everything is as it seems. Time is running out as the friends race to locate items planted by the evil Morgrim in the ultimate quest to save the world(s).

The Book of Imagination sucks its readers into a new world where the impossible is reality.

Book review ⭐⭐⭐⭐
When I first started reading this was Harry Potter meets Percy Jackson but for a younger audience
Synopsis
Four friends travel to an land made of imagination as their librarians evil half brother has gone... well crazy
Left with the quest of finding three artifacts in each child's imagination it's just a recipe for sucess right ?Wrong!
Characters
They characters were just so easy going and funny and especially the relationship between Tom and Katie , mini versions of Percy and Annabeth , adorable right? We see a lot of character development in this book even though its middle grade , characters open up , conquer fears and genrally have a good time.
General thoughts
Its so quirky and original! We travel to Phantasmagoria a land of imaginations where anything can happen...if you can imagine it ! We meet lots of obstacles such as nightmares , terrifying bears and more!I I genrally enjoyed this book as it was really relaxing and a light read .The world is intriguing , as we get to meet fairies, trolls , talking flowers and more , although I cant wait for more in the next book. The main thing I enjoyed about it was the feel good vibes I got when reading it . It's as easy read as Percy Jackson and as imaginative as Harry Potter with the same kick as protagonists but for a younger crew. .The only thing that wasn't to my likening was that the first 20 pages felt rushed as as if the author wanted to just get to Phantasmagoria and then begin telling the story , which I didnt really mind as I loved Phantasmagoria! Each book we travel to a different child's imagination and I cant wait to move on to the next one as I want to get to know the characters more , they were just so amusing.
Note (I received a copy in return for an honest review)*

Charming children's tale about the power of imagination. Sequel should be exciting based on how this ones ends. There is a lot to unpack in terms of gender identity.
