Udaari: a collection of poems

Rate this book
Vinati's first collection of poems 'Udaari' is an unbridled downpour of love, madness, chaos, and calm that gradually sweeps in at the end. It revolves around the theme of self-love and how empowering it is to let ourselves grow even if it means breaking into shards and picking up the pieces to heal with more mettle. The word 'Udaari' has been taken graciously from her native language Punjabi. It means to fly, to spread the wings and take a leap, a quiet soar against the wind. When you want to quieten the clatter of this world, pick up this book and immerse yourself. Udaari will keep you safe.

UDDARI , a collection of poems is a beautiful compilation of thought provoking and mind-calming poems. This book felt like a warm hug on a dense winter morning. Reading the poems by the author was like surrendering yourself for a mental therapy from which you only come back stronger, bolder and more graceful. With few words at use, the author gives her readers a realistic, achievable path towards life, love, healing and self efficiency.
UDAARI-  a collection of poems, drags our mind to the past, makes us feel vulnerable and triggered but the author’s words consume us with comfort, warmth and positivity. Perhaps, when Ms. Bhola wrote in her handwritten note ‘UDAARI ready to keep you safe’, she actually meant it.

The beauty of UDAARI is that each poem is written with a deep rooted understanding of human struggles and emotions that connect a reader so deeply, that words and its etched feeling don’t leave your side easily, even though you read from any random page. Each writing is independently thought and uniquely charming.

With effective relative poems that are short and heart twisting, Udaari has beautiful and simple ways of expressing herself to help her readers to shine through all situations- whether in darkness or light.

UDAARI is a treat, you must relish bit by bit. Slowly as you can.
Thank you so much, Ms. Vinati Bhola(writingsofvinati) for the heartwarming handwritten note and conceptualizing such a wonderful imagination.

Udaari is 160 pages long poetry collection. She is an #InstaPoetess and like many others, she has written catchy free verses. I could relate to most of them but still, found them very Rupi-Kaur-ish because they talk about the past bad lover or self-love. Though, there are no doodles in the books.

It was frustrating to read some words repeatedly. Also, it would have been great if she could divide poems on some common ground. Anyway, it is a good book to begin reading Indian Insta Poets. I hope her next book is better edited and have longer poems.
