I've read all Mike's books so far, so I know what i'm in for. They're a real fun read, simple and able to pick up and put down at will.

If you're not familiar with the author, he's a former North Yorkshire copper and his books are about life on the rural beat. It's very much the Gervais Phinn of the police world. Would recommend them all, one book to go now!

Mike just goes from strength to strength. The tales of life as a "countryside cop" are both fascinating and (often) amusing.
Continues to make me homesick though

An excellent read

PC Pannets adventures are very good to immerse yourself in , the only downside is they seem to be read in no time at all , keep them coming please

Mike Pannett is a good writer and I would highly recommend his books. I was wishing for a bit more of local color in the way of personal items but perhaps this was not the main focus of the book. Still the material that is included is fascinating and makes for a good read, sobering at times and yet humorous as well

Ideal lockdown reading!

I have only just discovered Mike Pannett’s books and have been devouring them as perfect lockdown reading. He comes across as a thoroughly good man and exemplary policeman. I will be very disappointed when I have read all his titles.

I havent read anything by this author before and I didnt have high hopes when I snatched it from the library shelf. However, it is an easy read and it is not fiction as it deals with real cases the author encountered in his service with North Yorks Constabulary. He is a good writer and it is the sort of book that you can pick up and put down easily enough, ideal for a quick bedtime read before dropping off.

I shall look out for his other books and recommend you do the same!
