Reading ‘The Immortality Trigger’ cemented in my mind why Douglas Misquita is my favourite Indian thriller author. Right from the get-go, the book pulled me in. It was very hard to put the book down while at work, and made me want to pull an all-nighter to finish it off (common sense however reminded me that I’m not that young anymore). Pick up this book on a weekend, sit down in your favourite corner (or lying down on your bed, during your commute, or anywhere you can) and get ready for an adve

With a start in Berlin, 1945, “The Immortality Trigger” launches into the present day, hurtling between Europe, South America, and Africa with a gripping pace. The author, Douglas Misquita, is moved to write large-scale thrillers, and with the second book in this series, surely achieves that goal. Not only is this book vast and well-written, the story it tells picks angles with many appeals.

First of all thanks to Goodread as got this book in a giveaway and also to author. It's first time reading a German translated to English book. It's really a very good book. The story starts from the period 1945 WW2. where a person called Edmund sthal creates a drug which makes him immortal. At that point of time he was in the making of that drug which he succeeds in later period of time. He is the main antagonist in this book. Total book is to find this person. There are many protogonist but th

A powerhouse medical thriller with all the right ingredients: a secret order, illicit wonder drugs and a relentless hero that never gives up. Highly recommended.
As he did in his spectacular thriller about the global migrant crisis, Diablo, Misquita’s writing doesn’t so much flow as it growls. Each action sequence is felt fully, and with a storyteller of Misquita’s caliber, you just may need Dramamine before the first chapter is done.

The Immortality Trigger begins in the World War 2 era, slightly slow, with very cliched events dripping with jargon. However, once the story reaches the present day, it picks up the pace and you start liking the jargon! It doesn't take more than a few pages to notice Douglas Misquita's skilful use of imagery, which seems to become better with every book he writes. His description makes you feel every bit of action. The story plays around the history entwining action with a hint of science fictio

Personally, I like the way I interleaved flashbacks , and brought everything neatly together for a finale.
