When you’re married, there are the things you can live with… and the things you can’t.
My abusive husband, Harry? He made those distinctions very clear to me.
Constant beatings, a forced a miscarriage, and then roping me in with my father’s notorious biker gang, The Reapers.

Lucky enough, I got out of my marriage in one piece. For the time being, that is. Though it’s o

I love when I can find another good MC book and this author gives me what I need. I am not the greatest at writing reviews and as some reviews have stated they dislike the book due to errors and they didn't like the story or something else. I loved this book. I have come across books that I didn't care for and was easily lost but I guess I am someone who can keep up with a story no matter what directions they take. That must be my extreme multi-tasking I do on a daily basis.

I loved this 2nd chan

This is the first book I have read from this author and let me just say this will NOT be the last. . What an intriguing, consuming book! Oh my…this author surprised me in such a good way.

The beginning was a little slow for me but by the time I got to the end of this book, I was loving it! Some very angsty moments.

“Ashley Monroe married to an abusive man, her husband also happens to be a member of her father’s rival gang. After being badly beaten, Ashley finally finds the courage to flee her un

I haven’t been present in the land of Goodreads for a while, instead opting to read by my lonesome and not bother with any reviews. That is of course until I came to this book. This book was actually that awful, I felt the need to rejoin the Goodread community to express my utter dislike.

There are scenes that made completely no sense. Sentences that left me utterly confused. I was re-reading them trying to understand what the author was talking about. Strange descriptions for items that made me

Elizabeth Knox goes dark...and I like it. Poor Ashley can't catch a break with her abusive husband. Running back home to her roots. She falls back into Blackjack's strong arms. Will they finally get the chance to be together or will her husband ruin it all? A dark, twisted MC romance.

Ashley is the Reapers MC princess. She marries Harry and moves away from her MC family. Harry is a piece of crap so when she gets the chance to leave she runs back home.
Things from there get interesting, while she back home she recconnects with Blackjack.
The connection between the two has been their since they were younger.
This book is extreamly well written, it's action packed, the sex scences are hot and most importantly is full of sinfully sexy Alphas!!

Warning minor spoilers ahead...

I thought from the first chapter that this one would suck me in but it just did not. An MC Princess that gets an attitude with members, prospect or not, would never fly. Especially when she is showing up for the first time in years and has never even met them before but expects them to treat her like a Queen and know exactly who she is by looking at her.
Ashley's personality changes have me thinking she is Bi-Polar. And her MC President dad sharing club bu

Editor please!

This book is in desperate need of an editor. My biggest pet peeve is mistakes and this book has tons of them. This could’ve been a decent read, the potential was there, it just missed it’s mark. MC’s are a favorite if mine so I might judge them a little more harshly than others, but this one was missing a strong dose of realism. Again it tried and came close but ultimately missed its mark.

Truly Fantastic Book, But Marred By Editing Errors

Ashley returns to her father and his MC, the Reapers, battered and broken at the hands of her husband, Harry, a member of the Rival MC, the Grizzlies. After miscarrying her baby and taking weeks to heal, Ashley is starting to feel safe in the home of her father and the Reapers’ president, Fist. She’s reconnected with her brothers, the other members of the club, and her first love, Blackjack. But Harry wants her back, and the only way to remain ou

Let me start by saying that Elizabeth Knox has written an emotional book that unfortunately many women can relate to. The readers knew that as the book went on that at least two things were going to happen and by the end both had happened.

What took away from the book for me is the age difference between the hero and heroine. I just cannot get into a book where there is more than a ten-year age difference. That is just a personal preference of mine, so when I got to that part my interest waned a

This goes out to all the readers who love an amazingly good MC story!!!!!!!!!! It does hit on a hard topic but the author does it with class!!!! She made a strong female lead character which was nice to see!!!!! The female character I am referring to is named, Ashley. She takes control of her life with some help from family. Which is what it is all about in my opinion. The story read nice and smooth. The different settings were written that I was able to clearly visualize what was going on. Such ...more

Wow! I haven't read any of Elizabeth's other MC Series, but damn does she know her stuff! This was such a good MC Book. There was just enough grit, dirty deeds and drama. Ashley was so broken when she got back to the MC. Just like everyone else I wanted to beat her ex, Harry, senseless! I was so happy she had Blackjack to help her, Zane and Kane also. Everyone welcomed her back like she had never left. She seems like she she is going to be a very important person in the MC.

Elizabeth Knox is slowly but surely cementing herself as a must read author. Her name now equals wonderful book. Each of her book is different, gripping, enthralling and so consuming that you establish a deep and gripping connection with the characters almost from the beginning. The journey she takes you on with Blackjack is nothing but brilliant and you are able to witness first hand Elizabeth Knox's creative writing and mastery with words. I was pleasantly surprised by an overwhelming depth th ...more

This is the first book that I have had the chance to read by Elizabeth. I was not sure what I was going to be getting into with this book. Once I started reading I could tell that it was going to be a book that I enjoyed. I absolutely loved this book from the beginning to the end. Not only it is an MC book but it is about a very strong woman who overcomes her past. I wanted to crawl into this book and hug her when she goes through what she goes through. It is something that someone should never ...more

This would deserve a higher rating, but the number of spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, tense changes (even within the same sentence), and just overall repeating exposition nightmares made it a difficult read. It almost felt like the author opened a thesaurus to come up with description words, not bothering to double check if they actually made sense with what they were describing. Saying that blood on a man's forehead was "corrosive" makes no sense.

Not the worst

The characters were one dimensional. The characters had a personality but if they were funny that was it. There was no back story, there was no soft side, no tough side, nothing.
There was no chemistry between the main characters. They were barely in the same building together let alone talking to each other. There was no romance. Don't even get me going on how they finally started their relationship.
Plot definitely has potential. The whole book has potential but it is like the aut

An MC family like no other

Fighting yourself isn’t always the best idea. Having been young and naive when she makes the decision to marry a man she’s not truly in love with almost costs Ashley everything, including her life. Finding her way back, she heals and reconnects with her family. She takes her life back!

Blackjack is there the day Ashley comes back home. He feels guilty for her being in the dangerous situation to begin with, having left her after not being able to fight himself any longer

Was a bit different from other MC novels, but not as steamy. Made up for it in other areas, at the beginning the is domestic abuse. In the synopsis it tells you that Ashley has a miscarriage, the cause of her miscarriage is violent.
The author didn't really explain well the time frames of how long Ashley was at the clubhouse healing, if she did it wasn't explained well.
Blackjack is a great guy who has loved Ashley since she was 16, but he is fourteen years older than her. The way they got togeth

This is a must read!!

When Ashley’s world turns upside down she heads back to the last place she felt safe, home. When she arrives home beaten and broken the last person she ever expected to see again takes care of her. Blackjack vows to protect Ashley at all cost. They were once the best of friends until one night everything changes. Years later, bruises healed they finally reveal their true feelings. From the first page I couldn’t put this down. I love all the characters in this book especiall

I read Blackjack, having loved Redemption, which is basically a prequel to this book. This is yet another damsel in distress story, though, it seems that Ashley can get tough and get herself out of the situation. She has the right amount of fun and femininity whole having that hardness she should have as the daughter o the MC prez. Blackjack is like this wildcard, tough enough to be part of the MC but has a sweet spot for this young woman from his past. I enjoyed the way their love story flowed ...more

Elizabeth has done it again! heart ached for her. She has been through a lot the last several years and she has finally come home. After being beat and having a miscarriage, she barely makes it home. Ashley is such a strong woman. She had so much to overcome and I loved watching her grow throughout the story.

"So much had happened over the years, it's just...funny to me where we both ended up. Back with each other. It may not have been how I thought it would have but, nonetheless, we're right here."

Sigh....this one got my heart from the start...the things that Ashley has suffered almost broke me to tears, but Blackjack stole my heart more by being, well, himself. He's sinful, but in a quiet, strong way, and I absolutely loved that about him. The suspense and tension is off the charts in this one, but

Nobody writes MC romances quite like this author. Having read her previous books, Blackjack has become my new favorite. Blackjack and Ashley’s love story wasn’t an easy one and was filled with ups and downs. The journey was riveting from beginning to end. My heart went out for these characters especially Ashley. The struggles and trauma she suffered were heartbreaking. But her strength and growth throughout the book made this story even more endearing. Even though the story was a bit fast paced, ...more

Great first book in this new MC series! I felt so bad for Ashley after her rough life with Harry, but she had the Reapers to save her, especially Blackjack (Rob), who tried to keep his distance, only to find that sometimes you just need to let life be as it was meant to be. Ashley came back a stronger and better person after her harrowing ordeal, and Blackjack and the Reapers knew just what they needed to do. Good suspense and action in this book, with some amazing chemistry between Blackjack an ...more

Elizabeth Knox really knows how to lure her readers into a story that makes them feel like they are sitting in a room observing and this is exactly what this author did with me! The well written story had a fantastic plot and the characters were so well detailed that as I turned each page Ashley and Blackjack kept me totally engaged! If you’re looking for a dark, intense, dirty and twisted MC romance, than look no further! Elizabeth Knox has this amazing ability to write about such horrible things but she always has an intense eye for the female heroine. I love reading books about strong, hardheaded women who hit rock bottom but know their own strength and rise up again even stronger. This story is no exemption. Blackjack is darker than what I’m used to reading but Elizabeth Knox made me fall in love with her writing a long ...more
