I read and loved Almana, the first book in this series and was waiting eagerly for the sequel. And this book, wow! Beautifully written, thrilling, heart-breaking and heart warming, this is a brilliant story. One that makes you think. This series is one everyone needs to read as it tackles sensitively and with heart some of the issues tearing the world apart today. A timely and though-provoking book. An amazing story, masterfully told. LOVE this amazing series and very highly recommend it.

I was thrilled to get an advanced copy of Visions, pre-publication, so I could continue the wonderful story of Almana - an angel who comes to earth and falls in love with a mortal, Cam. Adams paints an incredible story of a tortured angel struggling to deal with the curse of what truly loving a human being means. And I was enraptured by the descriptions the author gives of this heavenly being, who has had her soul torn apart in the name of love.

With Visions, Adams has dug much deeper into the da

This is the second in this series. The first is Almana, and i strongly urge you to start there! This book is slightly different from the first as there is a more darker tone than previously. After reading Almana, i immediately started on this and i was not disappointed! This book is better than the first, if thats at all possible! I cannot wait to see what is in store for these characters

Better than the first.

Okay, so I read Almana and really enjoyed it, but with this one, wow. Can I just say wow? I feel like putting it on repeat.

This book was different. It was dark. It pulled on your heart. It left you guessing. It had all the components I love.

And, not to mention, I couldn't put it down. That's why this lovely little story is getting a solid 5. I wanted to read more. I HAD to read more. Excellent read.

I absolutely adore this series! As much as I loved book one, Almana, book two, Visions, is my favorite, so far. As the author develops the scenery and the characters more fully in Visions, the plot thickens.

It's a racy, emotional, and very intriguing story with the ravages of wars past, war to come, and a race to hope good will win against the many evils in this book.

Julayn Adams is an excellent writer, a wonderful story teller, with a knack for the creative side of writing a lot of us lesser m

Visions (Almana Book 2) by Julayn Adams is the second of a planned trilogy following the adventures of Almana an Angel who is sent to a dystopian earth to try and help humanity recover from its ails. Heaven has almost given up on humanity, but Almana (Ali) still believes there is enough good in humanity for them to overcome the evil. She fell in love with a human, Cam and their souls were entwined, but when Cam was killed, Ali had to face the bleakness of a life without her soulmate.

After Julayn Adam's debut novel Almana, I was anxiously awaiting the second book in the trilogy, Visions. This book did not disappoint. Julayn's use of imagery and attention to detail made me feel as though I was part of the story. I could feel Almana's pain, loss of hope and insecurities as she lives as an angel lost in a mortal world. Her fight to regain hope in this post apocalyptic world is heart rending, yet she continues to be by Alex's side as she leads a group of people from multiple bel ...more

2.5 stars. Love the story itself and most of the characters but I had a few issues that played a big part for me. Check out my review https://bookmarkchronicles.wordpress.com/2017/12/27/book-review-visions-almana-2/

A well written and captivating tale from post-apocalyptic southern California. A group of people who would not have normally come together must join forces against a daunting and horrible gang that is really more like an army. This book is billed as a young adult novel and certainly fits well in that genre. I am an adult but certainly not a young one, however, I enjoyed this book immensely. I love a great action novel. This book has that and much more. Written in a descriptive and enveloping way ...more

With four fabulous children and two equally fabulous step-daughters, Julayn Adams has been likened to the little old lady who lives in a shoe, minus the old part, of course. She and her husband, along with their kids and the laziest cat in the world, Triscuit, reside in Melbourne, Australia after having moved from the United States. Julayn has enjoyed working in a variety of professions including ...more
